what are some keycap sets that work with the drop alt? i talked to some people and it looks like theres very limited options. i own and alt and rlly wanna know what keycaps i can upgrade to. thanks!

any custom keycap set that has the coveted 1.75u right shift will work. That means any sets from gmk, jtk, sp, epbt, and pretty much all groupbuy base kits. You can also find other sets that support many layouts. As long as you don't buy some cheap oem keycap set, you should be fine. If you find a set you like, if you link it in a reply, I can confirm if it will fit or not if that helps.

There are a lot of choices! There are two difficulties with the Alt. One, the north-facing switches, which prevent Cherry profile keycaps from working perfectly with most switches, instead causing the keycap to grind against the switch housing. The other difficulty with the Alt is the 1.75u right shift. Any keycap set in a profile other than Cherry, and with a 1.75u shift key, will work perfectly fine with the Alt!

It’s got a hot-swappable switch plate, RGB lighting for the keys and around the plate, and is programmable via Drop.com’s web interface (as well as QMK, but I haven’t tried that yet). 9to5 Toys has a review covering most of the features. I put in my order a few months ago and didn’t expect it until the end of August, but it arrived early so I’ve had time to configure mine to my liking. The finished build: Kailh Box White switches, SA Chalk keycaps.
