Replacing my Dyson Animal Pro—any recommendations before I buy another one?
Ball Animal 2 vs Ball Animal Pro?
I just bought a Dyson. Have I made a mistake?
My wife and I got the ball+ animal one for our wedding in 2012, it worked great for the first two years, then we read the manual to see if it typically dropped in suction, and it recommended to pull it all apart and clean the inner filter etc and it worked good as new
TL/DR: with proper maintenance, I have had no issues with it working good as new

Hi,
My Dyson Animal Pro suddenly stopped working last week. Fortunately, it was still under warranty and Costco gave me a full refund ($390).
I’m now in the market for a replacement. I could just go for the newer Dyson Animal Upright from Costco, but before I do, I wanted to ask—are there better options you’d recommend? I’m open to spending a bit more if it’s truly worth the upgrade.
We have mostly carpet in our apartment, with a small amount of wood flooring in the kitchen and bathroom areas. The Dyson made our carpet noticeably fluffier after each use, which my family really appreciated. That said, it was my first vacuum, so I don’t have much to compare it to.
I’d really appreciate any suggestions or insights based on your experiences—whether that means sticking with Dyson or exploring other brands.
Thanks in advance!
