Any advice on how to find an entry level or junior data analyst/data scientist position?
I want an entry level job as a data analyst at F500 company. What should I do?
Those “entry level data analyst jobs” have people with masters degrees in statistics, data analytics, and yes, data science applying for them. People need to stop thinking that data is a fall back career that you can just idly wander into. It’s smarmy af.
That aside… if you can look at a posting and say “I am undeniably qualified.” Have at it! There’s more than enough advice in this and the analytics sub. But if you’re walking into an interview and thinking you’re going to compete just on charm, desire, and a couple meaningful years of part time experience… it’s going to be rough in this market.
