The pay sucks (if you get paid...A lot are non-paid internships), locations are expensive, hours can be long, but it's very rewarding depending on your supervisor. It's hard to get into due to the extensive background check and possible poly. Need almost a perfect record and be a perfect model citizen. I know they Electrical Engineering positions are very limited and not as interesting as a general security ones and it really depends on location. I know Secret Service can be far more rewarding than FBI, and I know NSA is better for engineering. Source: My colleagues son was a intern at FBI, SS and my classmate worked a co-op at NSA... Has anyone done an internship with the FBI? I know they love STEM students & it's been a dream for a long time to work there but I wonder what the experience is like & how it compares to other internships more directly in the field.
