r/FigmaDesign on Reddit: I'm designing a Huge UI Kit for Figma for mobile applications
April 28, 2025 -
Hello! I'm a Senior UI Designer, and I've designed various UI Kits for different clients.
I've started working on an extensive UI Kit (similar in approach to Untitled UI) specifically for mobile apps.
I've created variables for everything, including complex components, and my aim is to build a constantly growing library of sample screens, divided by category (e.g., login/signup, tip app, mail app, productivity app, etc.).
The goal of this UI Kit was initially to create something for myself and my clients, but now I'm considering sharing it with everyone.
Do you have any suggestions?
Do you think there's space in the market for something like this?
I love Untitled UI, but it's focused on desktop apps and websites.
Thank you!

This does look interesting, I haven't seen a kit focused on mobile screens before. I'm mostly against using these UI kits because they are so over designed and starting a project using one feels like more work than just starting from scratch. Ie to edit one thing you need to edit a component within it, but then to edit that its built with 3 other components so you need to edit those 3, which have components within them... you see where I'm going. My suggestion would be to try to keep it as light as possible rather than just loading on more and more components for the sake of a tagline where you can say "over 10,000 customisable components". Think carefully about what needs to be a component vs just a non-component template that you can copy/paste.

This is a good effort OP and I’m sure it’ll be useful for many. Like someone else suggested, keeping it simple and easy to edit would be a plus. From my experience using the MUI kit, it was very very annoying to have to have to make changes in multiple nested components - I ended up detaching components quite often. Would also suggest keeping variables / styles simple. Not everyone who purchases your kit will be well versed in all of figma’s features.
