Moved into a new flat and my room has two singles instead of a double - so I'm shoving them together to make a double (or a super king according to Google).
The bed frame means there's a gap between them, and ideally I'd like to fill it. The gap fillers I seen on Amazon end up being pretty dear like £55, because of the depth, length and width of the gap. Any ideas on how I can do this in a super budget friendly way?

put a piece of plywood under the mattresses, over the bed frame (the mattresses are sitting within the frame now); then you can shove the mattresses together with very little gap that can be solved with any of the suggestions below.

Dude with the Amazon link looks like he solved it. But I was going to suggest getting a cheap foam topper, the old egg crate looking ones, and cut it in strips to the length and width you needed. Then put a super king topper over the whole thing. Then a good king fitted sheet.
