r/Bedding on Reddit: Please forgive me…
October 16, 2023 -

Please forgive me for what I am about to say. I know it’s wrong and shameful.

MyPillow Giza Dreams sheets are the best sheet set you can buy for under $100. Someone gave me a set and I turned my nose up at them and sent them to my Airbnb. Jokes on me because they’re my favorite Airbnb sheets. They don’t wrinkle. They’re nice and crisp but silky out of the dryer.

I said what I said. 🤷🏼‍♀️

r/Bedding on Reddit: I just bought three sets of super-cheap Giza Dream Sheets at an online estate auction
August 28, 2025 -

I know Giza Dream Sheets get some bad reviews. I've seen where others love them. I think Mike Lindell is so hated that a lot of reviews are colored by politics, so it's hard to know how accurate the reviews are. In any case, I just bought three sets of new-in-package, full-size sheets with pillowcases for an average of $11.50 each. I also bought a set of full-size "Miracle Sheets" for $12.65. I've read some terrible reviews about the Miracle Sheets, but based on a post on this sub, the complaints are likely about the sheets they made with lyocell and polyester. The ones I bought are cotton. In any event, if any of these sheets go bad I can toss them in the garbage without being out a lot of money.

The same sale had a couple of sets of Ralph Lauren Polo "Home" sheets. I think this is an older labeling, as I couldn't find them offered online. Oddly enough, these sheets were packaged separately, with the fitted sheet, flat sheet, and pillowcases in separate bags. The official "price" on these sheets was $65 each, and an unknown amount for the pillowcases. There were a couple of photos showing that the sheets had been marked down to $7.99 for each sheet. I wanted to buy these, but the bidding was hot and heavy, and they ended up selling for an average of about $48 per set. I was surprised to see them sell for so much money in relation to the Giza and Miracle sheets, especially since there was a price tag showing that they likely were purchased for about $20 a set.

In any event, it's probably worth checking out some online estate auctions for items like this. They don't show up that often, but they do show up. It's nice to have some decent sheets purchased at a low price.

r/Bedding on Reddit: One year update on giza sheets.
January 21, 2025 -

So about a year ago I bought these sheets and was asked to report back after a while with an update. Well here we are a year later, these have become some of the softest coolest sleeping sheets I've ever used. They've held up extremely well, and even with weekly washing the color hasn't faded at all.

What has happened is they came stupid soft it's been wonderful. I love um so much that I'm buying another set as I type this for our new mattress (going from split king to just king.)

Would still recommend these even after a solid year of use.

What sheets do you LOVE and have semi-recently purchased?? I searched old posts on this sub and several people ardently loved a specific set from target a few years ago. I was almost convinced to purchase until I read a comment further down that said Target kept the name but changed the actual product in 2022 and it’s not as good anymore.

Preferably under 100 bucks, in white or a subtle stripe/pattern.

r/Bedding on Reddit: Underwhelmed by Sferra?
April 24, 2023 -

Hi bedding people! I recently bought Sferra Celeste percale sheets, they arrived last week. I bought them from Bloomingdale’s, so I know they are authentic. I washed them according to the instructions, put them on my bed, and well… they don’t feel any better than my Brooklinen percale sheets. In fact I think they feel less smooth. Am I judging them too soon? Do they need a few washes to feel better?

I have a Sferra Celeste just in a pillowcase, and I was definitely underwhelmed with it as well. I have the Finna as well in the percale and it is a night and day difference from the Celeste, far more in line with what I expect from Sferra. A few washes helped, but not as much as I would have liked. I only got the pillowcase to test out what I thought of Celeste, but I have moved it into the category of "not worth it". I also am lucky enough to have the Giza 45 percale just for pillowcases. It is unfair to compare the Celeste to those, they are in a class all their own.

Celeste takes several washes to start breaking in. I was first introduced to it through a secondhand king duvet cover - it was the softest, smoothest, crispest and highest quality bedding I'd felt at the time. I absolutely loved it (and still do, 6 years later.) It has only gotten softer with time and held up incredibly well despite hard use. That duvet inspired me to purchase more from the Celeste line. I ordered a flat sheet, and I was sure there either had to be a mistake or the quality had seriously taken a nosedive since my duvet was made. It felt scratchy and was nothing like I was used to, even after a wash. I returned it. A few years later and still obsessed with my amazing duvet, I found a great deal on some Celeste pillowcases so I decided to give the line another try. These were also underwhelming straight out of the package, and even after a wash. Rather rough. This time I stuck with them though and within a few more washes I noticed them softening. It's to the point now that with each subsequent wash I can absolutely notice a further improvement in softness. I'm confident this is why my duvet feels so amazing and that these pillowcases will get there eventually. So if you're still struggling with Celeste I'd give it another shot if I were you, considering the price point for the quality. When broken in they are crisp, smooth, and cool, and they have a feel and even a look to them that to me is like an expensive men's dress shirt. I haven't been able to find this "look" or feel anywhere else, although I'm sure Giza 45 percale will live up to the hype when I manage to snag a few pieces.

I saw these Sferra Giza 45 sheets at Bloomingdale’s and was obsessed. I think they’re from the Porta collection. But the fitted sheet alone was over $1100. I somehow found it on EBay for half the price so I got the fitted sheet and matching pillow cases and my gosh they are unlike anything I’ve ever felt and I’m sort of a bedding snob. Softer than silk and airy. Highly recommend!

So hear me out, here. I know what y'all are going to say they're fake. The company is licensed, and accredited both what they told me and what I was able to find by googling the parent company, they are also tagged as well and each sheet set comes with a COA. I took a chance and bought a set, and they are stupidly soft. Like bar non thee nicest sheets I've ever had. I was able to find the parent company and found out they use single ply long strand Giza cotton. Anyway just wanted to share :)

Softness has not usually been an issue with sheets - but in the last ? 8 years ? it has been. And quality is down across the board. You can't buy the same sheet brand you did ten years ago and expect the same quality sheets. Can someone please explain what has happened? I know what happened with chocolate quality - less cocoa. But we should just be getting better with sheets. Are we running low on cotton or something? (jk) What were we doing 20 years ago that we're not doing now to create quality, soft sheets for affordable prices?

r/Bedding on Reddit: Giza 45 not feeling Soft?
October 10, 2023 -

I was looking for a sheet and pillowcase set and saw a lot of people here recommending giza 45 (usually through sferra). I got a bunch of samples of:

Giza 45 Sateen

Giza 45 Percale

Giza 45 Luxe

Non-Giza 45 Percale

However, all of them seem to be scratchier and less soft than my current cheap microfiber sheets. I threw them in the wash once to see if it was a thing where they needed a wash cycle but it didn't make much of a difference. Am I missing something here?

This is what I have now:

r/Bedding on Reddit: I can't find black ultra deep (19") king sheets - Giza / Supima / Lenzing Tencel / Modal / Bamboo Lyocell
October 22, 2022 -

I just bought the Intellibed Midnight and Tempur Pedic Ergo Extend Smart Base and now I'm looking for sheets.

I'm getting lost with all the different types of sheet, that are out there, but I'm guessing that these are my best option(s) -

  • Giza

  • Supima

  • Modal

  • Lenzing Tencel

  • Bamboo Lyocell

I don't know what my best option is, I just want something soft, breathable, and won't make me sweat my ass off, in the Miami Night.

Another thing that I'm having a big PITA finding, are any of these sheets in BLACK, with ULTRA DEEP pockets; my mattress is 17", so I need a 19" deep pocket.

I see that My Pillow makes a 100% Giza sheet, are they any good? But a problem there is, they don't make anything in black, it seems, and their fitted sheets are only 16", IIRC, so I'm SOL anyways, I guess.

Any help would be great 👍

reddit.com › r/bedding › my thoughts on sferra finna and giza 45 percale
r/Bedding on Reddit: My thoughts on Sferra Finna and Giza 45 Percale
March 26, 2024 -

I shopped around for luxury brand sheets last year and I had a lot of hesitation and went back and forth on buying them, so I thought I'd share my experience for those thinking of purchasing these expensive sheets.

I ended up purchasing both Sferra Finna and Sferra Giza 45 percale. The Sferra Finna were disappointing. While they are very comfortable, I did not find them much more comfortable than my Egyptian cotton sets from L.L Bean (although I've had some major quality control issues with LL Bean that make me wary of ever buying them again). I definitely do not think they are worth 3x the price.

However, after being skeptical of other reviews, I have to say that the Giza 45 sheets are on a different level and by far the most comfortable sheets I've ever had. They are silky smooth while still being very breathable. They are so comfortable, any other sheets I sleep with, including the Finnas, are noticeably less comfortable. I ended up buying another set, because they're just that good.

For those who can afford the $1000+ price tag, I definitely recommend the Giza 45s. However, I still think that my Egyptian cotton sheets from LL Bean are very comfortable and for those looking for something less expensive I would recommend them over the Sferra Finna's just because of the price alone.

r/Bedding on Reddit: I’m driving myself crazy trying to find the perfect sheet set
October 20, 2024 -

Like many others, my absolute favorite sheets were the Wamsutta DreamZone sheets. Mine ripped last year and I’ve been looking for a replacement ever since.

What I like: Crisp, cool and soft but not silky or overly wrinkly.

What I’ve tried:

West Elm tencel: I really like how cooling they are but they’re not at all crisp and they wrinkle so badly.

Quince linen: They feel rough no matter how many times I washed them. I like how they stayed taut on the bed though.

Etitude bamboo: They feel like the tencel ones but these bunch up and wrinkle so much and it drives me mad (I’ve tried the little mattress corner sheet attachment doodads and still they wrinkle)

Brooklinen percale: Scratchy and wrinkly!

Lands End Pimacotton: I thought they’d be similar to the wamsutta ones but these feel rough and not cool at all.

I know I probably sound ridiculously picky but do you guys have any suggestions?

UPDATE: I just ordered a fitted percale sheet from The Company Store (it was $50 ish so not too much lost if I hate it). I’m also going to pick up some of the Target percale and if I hate it, it’s easy to return at least!
