I have 1 computer that will log into outlook or any desktop apps using my godaddy log in.
When I try and sign in I enter my email address then it pops up a prompt for me to sign in using my godaddy email and password then takes me back to outlook to continue the log in.
But this one computer I have it never pops up tye godaddy window to enter the email and password.
This email works on my other computer just fine.
The computer in question is win 10 pro. I tried to call godaddy but they said it's not their problem.
Any ideas?
I’m having issues logging in to my godaddy outlook email because it keeps getting stuck in a login loop. I called godaddy and they said that there is already an incident report and the issue will be fixed soon but I’m not sure I trust that. I was wondering if anyone had any solutions I can try? I’ve tried different browsers, incognito mode and resetting the password.
What do you see if you type https://outlook.office.com/ into the address bar of the browser?
Hello ChrisA_792, happy to help you today dear :)
You have reached a user-user forum where we try our best to help each other out. None of us here work for Microsoft and it is beyond our capability to assist directly with account or login-related issues.
If you're having problems signing in to your GoDaddy account, try the following steps: Clear your browser's cache and cookies. Close and relaunch the page. Open a private browser session and try signing in again.
Hope this helps! have a great day
Alyssa
I created a learn.microsoft.com account just to reply to this as I've fought this issue umpteen times with Outlook 2016 for years.
As far as I can understand, the issue is that the Outlook login popup window uses a half-baked version of Internet Explorer 11 and the GoDaddy login page serves Javascript it can't handle. I tried all manner of registry edits, HOSTS file edits, the works, but what ultimately did the trick for me was to go into Internet Options > Security > Custom Level > Scripting, and flipping Active Scripting to "Prompt." This will cause a pop up for each individual script the login page serves up, and you can test declining individual scripts until it lets you through. In my case I permitted the first one, but not the second one which allowed me to input user/password, then permitted every script after that, which crashed, but the auth took and reloading Outlook one final time allowed me in. Not exactly a user-friendly solution and, if you're reading this solution, this needs to be your final warning to get the eff off Outlook 2016 as there's no guarantee this fix will work forever.
Hi @Matt Hardy ,
Set them up a few months ago and all was working fine until this morning when one of the users launched Outlook and was prompted to reauthenticate.
Judging from your description, there is no problem when configuring the account. This problem happened suddenly recently, right?
Will the problem be reproduced by creating a new profile? (control panel>mail>show profile>add) and add the account for testing to check if there are some differences.
In addition, please check whether the account linked in the Office application is an O365 account. Open any office application, click File > Office Account, make sure you are logged in with the O365 account.
If the script error doesn't occur with another user account, in another browser, or on another computer, the problem may be caused by files or settings on your computer. Below are some tips which might help to narrow down the issue for your reference in this article:
