Your best bet is to avoid anything GoDaddy. They have a terrible track record with small business, predatory practices with domain names, and they’ll always bug you to spend more money (like phone calls, e-mails, etc.) It’s insane. They’re a soulless company with crappy advertising and a sketchy history. Avoid anything GoDaddy. Answer from TruthBeaver on reddit.com

My Honest GoDaddy Website Builder Review: Worth It in 2026?
October 30, 2025 - GoDaddy’s fast setup process, easy-to-use editor and handy marketing tools make it a great website builder for beginners who lack technical expertise. But, if you’re creating a complex website, you may find some of GoDaddy’s functions limiting.

WHY is Godaddy that bad?
I had an email with my domain there for nearly 20 years. All of the sudden I received an email that they were switching email services, and it would now cost a crazy amount I called to confirm, as I have another server I can host my domain and receive free email. They said they would give me a year free, and said nothing needs to be done on my end, it will just continue working. Fast forward, I start noticing I haven’t received emails in this account for some time I call GoDaddy, and they admit I was given wrong information, my email was cancelled and all 20 years worth of important and irreplaceable emails are gone forever. I ask them how they plan on making this right, as this error is huge. They said “you’re getting 1 year email free, that’s good enough” and that “we can just cancel it all together if you prefer” I immediately transferred 20+ domains elsewhere Fuck Godaddy More on reddit.com

Is GoDaddy still bad or the reviews are old?
GoDaddy has surprisingly good caching. Which is good because they have miserably underpowered servers, especially for the price. The downside, in my recent experience, is a very slow authoring environment and sluggish behavior for forms, searches, and other normal website functions that can't be cached. I'd also be very wary of their signup pricing vs their real, long-time pricing. Other hosts have similar signup "bonuses" but when you add up overall price and overall performance, GoDaddy's "bounce per ounce" is disappointing at best. More on reddit.com

People also ask

Is GoDaddy’s website builder worth it?
It depends. For a quick, simple site — yes. For long-term brand building, not so much. The builder is easy to use, but limited in design and functionality. You’ll likely outgrow it once your needs get more specific.

How good is GoDaddy for hosting?
GoDaddy’s shared hosting works fine for basic sites, but performance can dip, especially if your site ends up on an overcrowded server. The company rarely reassigns you to better infrastructure unless you upgrade. If hosting speed and stability matter, there are better options out there.

GoDaddy Website Builder Review: Just for Beginners?
Overall, GoDaddy's website builder is easy to understand and intuitive for beginners, which is partly due to how little design freedom it offers (more on that shortly). Registration is straightforward, and it doesn't take long to get started on your first website. With the section-based editor, even web design newcomers can create a fully functional website in very little time. Unfortunately, there are performance issues. In our review...

2 days ago - This evening I had the good fortune to speak to Tonya when I called GoDaddy in a mild panic. I was trying to fix/edit something on our website when something (I did) went terribly wrong. The call was worth every minute I waited on line. The professionalism and concern she showed was above and beyond. In addition, she took the time to quickly review our account to offer other recommendations for the benefit of our Practice.
