I’ve been using https://tactiq.io/ for about a year and it works great. It’s a Chrome/Edge browser extension, so you’ll need to join Google Meet (or Teams) in the browser. It transcribes the meeting in real time without a bot joining, and saves the transcript either in your Tactiq account or directly to Google Drive (or another connected platform). There are a few features I’d like to see improved, but overall it’s been a solid tool for me. Answer from madnyss001 on reddit.com

  1. Otter.ai

    • Real-time collaborative notes, searchable transcripts

  2. Fireflies.ai

    • Powerful cross-meeting search, CRM integration

  3. tl;dv

    • Video highlights, multi-language, cross-meeting reports

  4. Vexa.ai

    • Free tier, simple interface, auto action item extraction

  6. Supernormal

Hey all- I am usually attending 10s of meeting everyday and usually it's spread across Zoom, and GMeet! I make it a point to diligently take notes for each.

But recently I realized with AI, there should be something that automates this so that I can focus more on the actual conversation? I have always hated the awkward pauses I have to do while I take notes.

So any recommendations? Ideally something that can auto extract action items as well? Thanks in advance!

Update: Thank you for all the responses. I have decided to use the Echo meeting assistant

I've been answering multiple zoom calls and google meetup calls almost every night. My primitive ass is using Ipad with apple pencil to take notes digitally about the meeting on my Ipad?

Is there a way I could automate the meeting where the AI could like just list all the important parts of the meeting and will create a minutes of meeting report at the end of the call?

I've been losing time and sacrificing my efficiency with my primitive method.

Please help.

I'm really wanting to move to ai notes. I need something that will allow me to turn text into notes, but also something that allows recordings that can be turned into notes. I also don't want to break the bank. Would love some feedback here.

Edit: Been using this note taker, records and turns meetings into clean notes automatically. Super low effort.

The point to taking notes is literally taking the notes. If you want to skip that, there are any number of options for creating AI summaries of AI transcription. Every solution is likely way overpriced, just look. Easier and cheaper to setup your own process using whatever LLM you want to use. But yeah if you don’t take notes yourself, you are missing something important. I do a lot of transcription work and use LLMs for that. And I could have that LLM summarize that transcription. But this is no way the same as listening to the content myself, thinking about it, and taking notes. So either the material doesn’t deserve that sort of treatment, then I would say who cares, or it does and now you have a summary of it, in which case why bother? It always comes back to what problem am I trying to solve? If superficial familiarity with things is what matters, there you go. If no, probably not worth it. The no wisdom guy is a shill.

I’ve tried a bunch of these and so far I’ve found Circleback to be the best, at least for my purposes. It joins meetings automatically and generates minutes & action points afterwards. What’s great about it is it has an ai assistant in-app that you can query either per meeting, or across your entire collection of meetings, and uses both the summaries and actual direct transcription for context so you can go back and read, watch, or listen to double check. Another one with potential is Notion’s note taker. Annoyingly this doesn’t automatically join meetings yet, which is crucial for me personally, but I do like that it keeps everything in Notion where I already organise the rest of my life.

Hey everyone,

I’ve always struggled to stay focused during meetings while taking detailed notes. To solve this, I developed an app that records meetings, transcribes them, and automatically generates summaries and action items. It's called Flownote and It’s made managing my tasks and staying on top of my GTD workflow so much easier.

Here are some of the key features and benefits:

  • Accurate Transcriptions: Records and transcribes meetings so you don’t miss any details.

  • Summaries: Automatically generates concise summaries of your meetings.

  • Action Items: Creates to-do lists and action items based on the meeting content.

  • Speaker Labels: Identifies and labels speakers, so you know who said what.

  • Share Links: Easily export as PDF or share notes as a web url.

  • Organization: Keeps all your meeting notes and tasks organized in one place.

  • Focus: Allows you to stay engaged in meetings without worrying about note-taking.

If you’re looking for a way to streamline your meeting notes and ensure you don’t miss any important details, give it a try. It’s been a game-changer for me and might help you too!

Stay productive!

I've tried a few of these apps now and am getting a good idea of what I want. But I cant find the perfect match for me. So I'm looking for recommendations.

First and foremost no bot. I don't want people in my meetings freaked out that AI is listening to them and I don't want to ask for permission.

Secondly the product needs to be affordable for 20hours of meetings per week.

The product should be able to merge real notes taken during the meeting with the transcript in an elegant way.

I'm looking to make a long term habit in using a product like this. So I want to chose a team behind the product that has a real roadmap and trajectory.

So far krisp and granola have been the closest to what I'm looking for.

Anyone have any recommendations and why?

Google Meet is introducing new AI features that can take real-time notes during meetings and even "attend" meetings on your behalf. These features aim to make it easier to catch up on what happened during calls and offer more flexibility in virtual meeting scenarios.

AI-powered note-taking

  • Google's Duet AI can now take notes for you in real time during a meeting. Just click on "take notes for me," and it will summarize the meeting and list action items.

  • If you're late to a meeting, Duet AI will provide a mid-meeting summary to help you catch up.

  • Once the meeting ends, you can save the summary, which may include video clips, to Google Docs for later reference.

AI attending meetings for you

  • Another feature allows you to let Duet AI "attend" a meeting for you. You just have to click on the "attend for me" button in the meeting invite.

  • Google will automatically generate text based on your talking points, which will be visible to other meeting attendees.

  • This feature can be particularly useful if you're double-booked or have to suddenly cancel a meeting.

r/ProductivityApps on Reddit: Tested 5 AI note taking apps for in-person meetings – here’s my verdict
August 13, 2025 -

I’ve been trying out AI meeting note-taker apps mainly for face-to-face 1-on-1s (not Zoom or online calls). Figured I’d share in case anyone’s looking for something similar.

  1. Bluedot ai note taker. This one’s been the standout. It records in the background, no bot joining and works whether you’re on Zoom, Meet, Teams, or just sitting across the table from someone. Handles both audio and video, supports 70+ languages, and the transcripts are super accurate. The summaries actually feel like summaries, not just reworded transcripts. Bonus: you can upload recordings too. TL;DR: Best all rounder if you want something that works for both in-person and online meetings without any “bot in the room” awkwardness.

  2. Otter ai Still the household name. Great for online team calls and has loads of integrations, but sends a bot to join meetings. Solid accuracy in English, less so for other languages. TL;DR: Great if you’re English-only and mostly remote, maybe overkill for solo/in-person.

  3. Minutes AI Meeting Note Taker Polished design and decent AI chat, but multilingual accuracy isn’t great. TL;DR: Pretty UI, works okay for English-only notes.

  4. Tablo AI Meeting Notes Feels like it could be a native OS app, simple and clean. Good multilingual support and follow up features. TL;DR: Strong pick for multilingual 1-on-1s, but less feature-rich than Bluedot.

  5. Sona Insight Best design of the bunch, but kept failing after recordings. TL;DR: Gorgeous app, but reliability isn’t there yet.

Anyone else using something for in-person meetings that can rival Bluedot and otter?
