A Halloween-themed Pac-Man Google Doodle game just dropped
October 30, 2025 - PAC-MAN: Halloween 2025 Edition (which can be played for free here) features eight levels, each more challenging than the last. The game's standard Power Pellets have been replaced by eyeballs. When Pac-Man eats them, the screen turns purple and black and Pac-Man has a chance to gobble up the ghosts that are chasing him. The Google Doodle features the same sound effects and music as the original Pac-Man game.

I actually had no idea this existed until I saw this, so thanks for that. What a bizarre version of the game. None of the physics feel right compared to the arcade original at all, (Or even the first Google Doodle) but I like the aesthetics of the mazes. The gaps kinda bug me but the Halloween themed stuff looks good. I noticed an Easter Egg of Momo from Magic Cat Academy too, and I think the choppiness of the cutscenes are a reference to some LCD versions, especially the Coleco Tabletop and Mini Arcade Classics #7 ones. Overall I like it, but it's weird.
