I'm getting pretty excited for Tuesday. I plan to get a Pixel 6 as soon as I can and had a question.
In Canada, Telus, Rogers, Bell give you a device discount for buying a phone through them. If you buy through them and pay over 24 months, they'll discount a part of the monthly payment.
Does the Google store do anything like this? Is there any benefit of going through Google for a phone instead of through the carriers?

Google Store In Canada and US Have Different Ways Of Doing Business
Different sales cycles. Retailers in Canada have wrapped up black Friday sales and are preparing for the inevitable early Boxing Week sales that will start over the next couple of weeks, which I doubt will be echoed by the US store. Black Friday is a huge shopping period for American retailers, whereas Canada only adopted it as a marketing gimmick a few years back. Boxing Day has historically been the Canadian Black Friday in terms of being the largest discount sales period of the year. More on reddit.com

So was on the Google Store site today expecting to still see sale prices available on New Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, didn't not expect to see Google Store Canada ending the sale while the sale still continues in the US. The Pixel 8 Pro I have in my cart is now back up to $1678 CAD including taxes. Whereas the same phone is listed for $979 USD and the sale for US customers goes until December 10th, I would have shared screenshots but this sub doesn't to allow them

Looks like I got mine just in time! Pixel 8 Pro for the sale price. They also got CAD$245 for my Pixel 6 Pro. Over the past few months it had started rebooting up to a dozen times a day. I figured it was time to get what I could from it before it became totally worthless. I would have liked to get an extra year from it, but it was just getting too annoying and I didn't want to pay for a new motherboard. Now it is google's problem. Not scratched, turns on -- full trade in value (even if it is crap)!
