If it runs fine in your PC, the problem is almost certainly not with the card. Could be different driver versions causing the variation? Try a clean install? A friend of mine used gpuz to save bios(heard thats bad) of the RX580 . After unsuccessfully modding it, he returned that original bios (that was saved with gpuz) onto it. He then gave it to me to mod it (standard 1500+ strap copy). In rig, the modded card would drop to 0 after couple of minutes.
I tried the card myself, and I am able to normally run it without any hickups. Card is still running moded bios saved with gpuz, runs fine on my pc, and crashes in his rig to 0 after couple of mins
P.S. Problem is not related to overclock, risers, nor PSU. There is no memory errors on the card. OS is windows

back when i first started mining and bios modding (late 2016/early 2017) a lot of caution was placed around modding the bios that GPUz exported. i dont know all the technicals but i think it boils down to data compression. the filesize of the GPUz bios (at that time) was 256kb, whereas the bios from polaris is 512kb. i read numerous sources that said trying to mod/flash a 256kb bios is risky (and could brick your card) and that you should always mod/flash the 512kb bios file. again, i dont know the technicals behind this, but i have followed this rule and have yet to experience any issues in the time ive been mining, in fact, my cards/rigs have been rock solid. all of my issues have always been due to other factors/hardware.

I have an Asus Scar 15 with RTX 3080Ti, whose vbios got bricked while trying to flash GE76 175W vbios. Now I'm trying to get someone who owns the 3080ti variant to dump vBIOS, using GPU Z, but GPU Z says "BIOS reading not supported on this device". How do I solve this issue? And is there any alternate way of dumping vbios? Please help. I'm stuck at a mere 200mhz on the GPU, and the laptop is totally unusable.

Now are you saying to run a cmd window navigate to the nvflash folder and then type in "nvflash --protectoff" then "nvflash -backup gm200.rom Sorry this is just a ton different than it was with my 680s. All i had to do with those was back up my bios with gpu z and use cmd, nav to nvflash folder and type in a few commands.

So I bought a used overpriced 1050 ti as a temporary GPU. It works fine. But I randomly checked the BIOS checksum and it did not match the one on the Techpowerup website even though they were the same version.
Can it be a modded BIOS?

Did you sure it’s the exact same model on techpowerup? Maybe there are different version, or search the specific bios from your GPU.

So you have verified that you don't have the original BIOS. If you want to have the correct BIOS, download and install it. But beware, if the installation goes wrong, you could brick your card. Honestly, if the card works fine, I'd leave it. Benchmark it, if it performs fine, why change it?
