So do I - as Alice would expect.
The d is soft but it should definitely be there. However, in ordinary conversation it may be barely discernible and, indeed, many of us will never sound the “d”.
Consistency of English pronunciation is a rare thing!

In British English the 'd' is usually more or less silent. Perhaps sometimes there is the slightest hint of a 'd'. Just occasionally you might hear the 'd' fully sounded. I understand that in US English they are sometimes sounded too. Sources vary on this.

This is the Oxford Learner's Dictionary phonetic:
grandmother noun
/ˈɡrænmʌðə(r)/
/ˈɡrænmʌðər/
The full OED lists the 'd' as optional:
/ˈɡran(d)ˌmʌðə/
Longman gives
grand‧moth‧er /ˈɡrænˌmʌðə
Collins gives
grandmother
(grænmʌðəʳ ) but uses examples with the 'd' sounded.
