June 18, 2024wrinkle free wide leg high waisted trousers??
I have these ones from Everlane after trying them in store and falling in love. They fit me so well, and I didn't have to tailor them at 5'4". Similar styles to look at: Abercrombie Sloan and Aritiza Effortless Pant. Both of these are longer though (not sure how tall you are) so I ended up passing on them. As for wrinkles, they do wrinkle a bit but I find if I use some Downy Wrinkle Releaser after I wear them, and hang them up, they look just fine. To be clear: I have only worn them a couple times and haven't done a wash yet. I feel like the Abercrombie ones might be what you're looking for, the fabric seemed much more forgiving in the wrinkle department. More on reddit.com

It's classical tailoring, reminiscent of how trousers were cut from the 1920s-1950s; I once picked up an exquisite wool/mohair suit of the Rat Pack era with wonderful high trousers. What I really want is what they called a "Hollywood waist" where the waistband is not a separate piece of fabric but an extension of the legs upwards. No one makes that as far as I know. I have a super difficult time finding pants I feel comfortable in, because I need a very high rise - at least 13 inches - while also needing an inseam on the petite side (usually around 28-29 inches). Googling doesn’t work very well because apparently there’s no way to specify the rise (I still get results that have 11” rises and call themselves “super high rise”). I haven’t worn jeans in years because I can’t seem to find any that work for me. Does anyone know of any brands that sell pants/jeans with 13+ inch rises? Preferably flare or wide-leg type of cut, but I’ll honestly try anything that fits. Thank you!!

For pants, my Madewell Harlow are 14.5" (website says rise is 12.75, but I just measured mine and they are longer) and Old Navy Taylor trousers extra high waisted are 13." For jeans, Universal Standard has many jeans with rises over 13" depending on your size.
