I ordered a data only SIM from Google Fi.
I've tried to activate a data only SIM in a Pixel 6 and it keeps asking me to transfer my number from my voice phone (Pixel 9a) to the Pixel 6. When I choose "move number later" or "skip" at the different screens, the Google Fi application closes.
I don't have a tablet to activate the data SIM and I don't want to use an eSIM on the Pixel 6 as I'm trying to get the data SIM activated.
If you go to fi.google.com/data it wants you to enter in your "secret code" on the front of the SIM card packaging. The code on the front of my sim data card has two group of 4 numbers separated by a dash and then a word. My word is PEACHES. The grey box does not allow you to enter in numbers. Only letters. When I enter in PEACHES, it says it's incorrect.
I spent 45 mins on the phone with Google Fi support and they were no use.
I was using a pixel 3a successfully with Google Fi for a while. I just dropped that in the water and bought a Samsung Galaxy A53.
I installed Google fi, and logged in on the new A53, and it is saying that it wants a sim card. I believe my old pixel 3a was a digital sim card so I can't just swap it over.
What are my options here?
Back in December I got 4 GoogleFi SIM cards for my family and I to use when we visited the US and that all went well but we were only there for a short time and then went back to our home country and canceled the GoogleFi plans. Is it possible to reuse those SIM cars and if so how do I reactivate them?
I bought a Google Fi SIM for $65/mo because im traveling to Europe in a few days - was told I had to activate it in the US. I didn't know that paying the exact amount thru Best Buy didn't mean the plan didn't come with it or isn't already activated? Wht did i pay $65 for the SIM?
So now I have to make a google fi account (although i have 2 active google accounts already) as prompted, and it is making me go thru buying ANOTHER SIM card??? By the time it ships and gets here I will be gone already. Please someone help me. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. Thank you
I'm not sure what you bought at Best Buy but the SIM cards are free. The only thing you should be paying for is the service through Goggle.
