Unfortunately there's no Bluetooth adapter we're aware of. That being said, you may be able to add the MDA220 to be used with the Voyager 8200 UC, but the mic quality may be less than ideal for you. If microphone quality is important, you could consider getting the Orosound Tilde Pro instead to go with the MDA220. We haven't personally tested this so we can't say for certain if it will work 100% or not, but in theory it should. You'd connect the included USB Dongle that comes with the headset to the MDA220, the MDA220 connects to the RJ9 handset port of your phone, then you'd pair your headset to the computer via Bluetooth. Otherwise, you could consider another headset made for your application that connects to both your desk phone and computer like the Adapt 30 (although not over the ear). Hey folks,
I need some help to do as the title says. At work I use a Panasonic KX-NT543 analog landline, I want to be able to use a noise cancelling over-ear headset as a mic, but also be able to play audio between calls. I’ve found the Poly Voyager 8200 UC and the description is essentially what I’m looking for.
The issue is that the prehistoric landline in current use does not have Bluetooth capability and the only headset options I’ve seen are one ear boom mic, that connect to a base and won’t allow audio other than the calls.
Is there a general adaptor I can purchase to plug in? Or is the solution to replace the whole phone(hopefully not). I appreciate any suggestions!

Hi, I have an old phone, an Automatic Electric MonoPhone. It's a phone from the 1930s or so. I want to hook the headset up to modern electronics parts. Specifically, I have an Adafruit FONA 3G. The fona has a +/- for mic and a +/- for speaker.

If we could mentally stretch your project out from headset to comms, there needs to be a place where old tech gets translated into new tech. Follow? You need to choose where you want that place to be. Someone already suggested straight out gut the handset and use modern speaker and mic. In this case the place in the design that they have chosen is the outer shell. Maximum upstream. The 'old' phone will be nothing more than a novel shell to hide the rest of your electronics. It's a solid approach, everything is going to be compatible and modern, with the only exception of the housing.

A Carbon Mike is low impedance and needs a transformer and a battery to couple it into a modern circuit. However you'll need to bypass FONA 3G circuit which is designed for an Electret mike. The earpiece will be fairly high impedance (2K ohms or so) so ideally will also need a matching transformer. However it will probably work OK with the FONA 3G speaker circuit. You'll also need to bypass all the existing phones internal electronics (bell, dial. switch-hook, etc).
