November 24, 2016 - Assuming the water input is the 'front' face, my oxygen is coming out the right side, auto-ejecting into a Mek gas tank. On the left side, I placed a Gas Generator (GG) to burn the hydrogen. Either the Electrolytic Separator (ES) is auto-ejecting into the GG, or else the GG is 'pulling' from the ES.

i only want the oxygen, but it quickly fills up with hydrogen and doesn't produce anything when it's full. And I don't want to keep putting chemical tanks. Is there any way to just trash it?

On the hydrogen side in the gui, there is a dump button/setting, that'll let you run it only outputting oxygen.

I think there's a "dump excess" option in the separator. Alternatively put a chemical tank next to it that is set to "dump" or "dump excess"

The Hydrogen, though, simply won’t move. I’m using pressurized fluid tubes. I feel like I have everything set up correctly but nothing happens to the hydrogen. If I place a tank beside the ES, the hydrogen does go in, but I can’t figure out how to get it from there. It’s frustrating the bejebus out of me and I had to rage quit about an hour ago. It’s got plenty of power and neither the oxygen nor the hydrogen are completely filling their respective slots in the machine so it should still be running. What do I do?!

To get the Hydrogen out of the Gas Tank, open up its GUI, and off to the one of the sides, there should be a button that says "Configure" when you hover over it, click that, then in the Top Right corner, there should be a button that says "Eject" when you hover over it, click that, that enables Auto-eject, meaning that the Gas Tank will now try to Push gases inside of it into other Gas Tanks, Pressurized Tubes, and Devices on the faces configured with Output, to get the Gas Tank configured properly, click the six Squares in the middle to configure the Gas Tank's output sides, the centermost Square is the Front (labeled by the wierd mushroom thing on the Gas Tank), the ones to the sides are all the other faces, and the Bottom Right Square is the back, note that when you hover over the Squares, it tells you what side is set to what mode, for Tanks, Green is Input, Red is Output, for machines Green is Energy Item (Energy Tablets and other mod's Batteries), Red is Input, Blue is Output, Purple is Extra (Infusing material for Metallurgic Infuser, Osmium for Osmium Compressor).

Mekanism as far as I know doesn't let you place machines right next to the other and have that as input and output. As far as I know and have been doing for years, you'll need rego mek pipes or pipez mod pipes. Also use a configurator if you can make that so you can easily change input and output sides with a shift click. If you have more questions feel free to ask, im a mekanism mad scientist.

On the gases tab on the separator, set the hydrogen output to the back of the separator and auto eject to on, on the reaction chamber set the back to input

Electrolytic separator can’t have configured outputs iirc, you gotta use the side indicated on the machine and the GUI to get the one you want out.

It won't be piped as an output since it's in an input slot, but you can use a gauge dropper (click the tank in the machine's GUI with it) to void any unwanted fluid.
