so basically i have an amazon gift card and i wanted to know that if i activated it on my account and then i used amazon pay would it use the balance of the gift card?

I recently was waiting for a refund and although I vividly remember selecting that I'd like for my refund to be refunded back to my card, but it went to my gift card balance.

Is it possible that I can buy something with that balance and then just cancel the order, having it refunded to a specific account? I don't use amazon enough to have a gift card at all.

Or is there any other way to have it refunded?

UPDATE: I have contacted amazon through the online customer service and they were able to send the refund to my personal account. I will leave this post up for anyone with a similar question in the future!
