Hold down the Windows key and the B key, then press the power key for 2~3 seconds while still holding those other keys. With any luck, and if your laptop supports it, and if you've correctly created the USB recovery key with the correct BIOS, it should boot to the BIOS recovery USB and restore from that. This happened to me, I was able to fix it by holding down the window key + V key, + power button for 10 secs. Let the power button go and hold the windows KEY + V for another 10 secs, and this will revert you back to default bios, in order for me to get the new bios to flash correctly, I had to flash it to USB, then boot into bios and turn secure boot off, then boot to efi file, point to the USB, goto the HP folder, and select hp bios management.efi, then apply update More on reddit.com

Are you sure it's not the LCD screen that failed or perhaps 2 problems? Try plugging the video output into another screen just to rule that out. Maybe if you can see the screen you can then flash the bios if it's needed still. If you are 100% sure it's bios and unable to use a bios flash utility anymore and the bios is damaged to the point where you can't get into it or boot up the machine....the only way to fix the computer boils down to removing the motherboard and sourcing the bios chip manufacturer and replacing the bios chip on the mobo. However, being that this will likely cost you just shy of 100 bucks and will require some skill and tools, it's usually just easier to buy a new motherboard (heck of a lot easier and not much more money). Being that this is a laptop I am not sure how easy it would be to buy a HP motherboard for that model/year from them it may be out of date and no longer produced (or if they would even sell it to consumers). Worst comes to worst...I would just suggest you buy a whole new laptop (600-1000 bucks goes a long way in laptops these days). Bios is one of those failures that makes this decision real easy and real painful... buy a new motherboard or buy a new bios... being that this is a laptop motherboard replacement may turn into buy a new laptop if you can't get the parts.
