If you are in Canada and looking for a deal.
Good laptop to be used for docking based applications as it doesn't have a great screen.
35.6 cm (14") diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), IPS, micro-edge, anti-glare, 250 nits, 45% NTSC
Probably the bare minimum for as screens go.
Also has the Realtek WiFi 6 card which is known to have some driver issues (but probably you can replace it if its not soldered to motherboard)
At this price point you are most probably paying for the RAM, CPU and SSD which is steal sub $900.
always a compromise it seems
good deal if you don't mind the display

Hi Guys,
I am looking to buy a new laptop and I have narrowed down the brand to Dell (Since I have nice previous experiences) and HP (the popular one), but I am confused about going for Intel i5 processor or AMD Ryzen 7 one, I have seen internet talk about how Ryzen 7 is kind of equivalent to i7, should I go with AMD processor? Does anyone here own AMD processor laptop?
The HP Ryzen 7 processors are way more costlier than the Dell one, hence the Intel processor for HP.
I want a laptop which would run smoothly for my programming needs (think visual studio, git ), my past experience has been in a year or two the laptop starts hanging a lot so I want to go for a reliable one.
For cost purpose, I am from India and my budget is Rs70,000.
