Hello! What foods are indicated with hypothyroidism to lose weight?
Any good diets for Hypothyroidism that work?
Ideal diet if you are hypothyroid
I had the same problem. What is working for me is giving up carbs and alcohol, along with not eating 5 hours before bedtime. I tried Keto and it didn't work for me, so I went low carb/high protein and I am down over 20 lbs in two months. Good luck, I know it's hard and frustrating.

are you also insulin resistant? I am. I was tested by the 2-hour glucose challenge test.
My dietician gave me 2 pieces of advise which I do not see over the internet:
-
Eat exactly once every 4 hours until the worst symptoms go away (shakiness when hungry, fat accumulation especially around the tummy). Once better, eat once 4 to 6 hours, no more no less, in order to give your body a rest from insulin but not get too starved.
-
Eat no mashed or ground carbs, ie, a couple of tablespoons of potatoes is ok in the form of chunks or even french fries, but no mashed potatoes. Whole oats 20grams per meal at most, but no instant oats.
Other than that, standard stuff like eating adequate protein and fats and less carbs, calorie restriction etc.
What helped me enormously was supplementing on magnesium, iodine, selenium, vitamins D, B and C.
I lost 3 kilos of pure fat in 6 months (measured via Dual Photon Absorbimetry), 3 kilos of water weight and gained bone density! :-)

I have removed sugar, but I still eat lots of fruits. I also try to avoid white flour-based products: bread, pasta, etc., and eat less fatty foods. Should I also remove the diary? I like cheese, especially mozzarella a lot. It would be a hard decision for me.
