Your post is relatable- I hate glossy finishes but I hate mirror doors even more. Is the wall by any chance an outer wall? If so keep in mind that in this case a gap between furniture and the wall is actually strongly recommend. Buying something that you actively dislike seems like the worst option. In your case I would go for the matte option- if you hate the gap that much you can always add a 25 cm corpus with a mirror, glass or completely different door. More on reddit.com

Sadly, I advise waiting for all the parts to come in. The pax drawers are flimsy. You only want to install them once and leave them in. There is a small thin plastic retention clip on the underside of the drawer for removal, this clip does not look like it will last if the drawer has to go in and come out multiple times. I bought Pax after using the kitchen system for three full kitchens and various built-in projects over the past 20 years. Pax sturdiness is about 60% of the kitchen sturdiness. July 7, 2015 - I just made a quick trip to IKEA and have some information, but I'm a bit lost about how to build it in or not build it in. Everyone is suggesting 3 sliding doors and they want to frame it in for the sliding doors, but the Pax system comes with its own doors which could be sliding, but I think they are talking about doing sliding doors attached to the framing of the closet not to the Pax box units.

Sorry for the repost, somehow I couldn't edit my original post, don't really know why as its my first time creating a post.
Hey everyone,
I’m moving into my new flat soon and planning to install an IKEA PAX system. I really like the matte VIKANES doors, but I’m not a fan of glossy finishes like FARDAL. My issue is that the space for the wardrobe is about 280 cm wide, and VIKANES doors only come in 50 cm widths, meaning I can only go up to 250 cm. That would leave a 30 cm gap, and I’m worried it might look awkward.
FARDAL, on the other hand, has a 25 cm option, which would allow for a perfect wall-to-wall fit—but I really don’t love the glossy finish. Another option would be to use VIKANES but incorporate a mirror door in the middle, which would allow it to fit the space. The problem is, I don’t particularly like mirror doors either.
So, my three options are:

Stick with VIKANES and live with the 30 cm gap—maybe fill it with a plant or decoration.

Go with FARDAL for a seamless wall-to-wall look, despite the glossy finish.

Use VIKANES but add a mirror in the middle to make it fit, even though I’m not a fan of mirrors on wardrobes.
Ive added some pictures to give an idea on the planned design. The walls will stay white except the one accent wall behind the bed, which will be in hague blue as you can see from the picture.
Am I overthinking the gap too much? Should I just go with the glossy doors for the perfect fit, or is there another creative solution I’m missing? I’ve already made so many design decisions that I feel a bit fatigued, so I’d really appreciate some input!

Have you checked the Forsand doors? They have the same matte finish to my knowledge and 25 cm wide option. They are plain without the groove handle thing but might be better than having the mirror.

Hi everyone,
I have 280cm in my wall and I would like to setup a 1m+1m PAX with sliding door + a 75cm PAX with hinged door (probably a mirror) or a 75cm+75cm sliding + 1m hinged
From the configurator I can't do that, but I don't understand what can be the problem, maybe the door will not open correctly? Or it's only a matter of configurator that doens't allow that but it's practically feasible?
Do you have any experience on making this combination? Maybe it's possible with some little hack...

I have a similiar configuration, of 1m+1m of sliding doors, and another part of 50cm of a hinged mirror door. There's no 75cm hinged door, but you could go for 50cm+25cm doors (but I think it will look really weird).
