Just wondering if there's any reason hardware-wise that I should opt for the Verizon variant instead of going with the unlocked? I thought I read somewhere that there is additional hardware in the Verizon version to support more 5G Capabilities. Is this true? Or is the same hardware at least in the Unlocked version as well?
Thank You!
no difference. however the only difference is USA vs International Versions.
USA version has more 5g bands making it “universal” when traveling and has the only cut out on the side of the phone for mmwave.
What do you mean by cut out? I am planning on ordering the iPhone 12 Pro 256 in Pacific blue unlocked version which I will use on Verizon.
I was in Verizon the other day getting my new phone activated. The guy helping me out looked at my families plan (there are 6 of us on it) and was looking at the devices on the plan. We have 3 people on the plan who have iPhone 12s.
He told us that come June Verizon is dropping the service for iPhone 12s so that they are so slow you can't use it.
He said the reason for this was that the iPhone 12 has radioactive battery issues and was banned in Europe so Verizon isn't going to support them anymore. Note: I am from USA and so is everyone on our plan.
Verizon is still selling them on their website? Has anyone else heard of this being a thing?
Edit: Thank you all! That is EXACTLY what I figured. It was a lie, and him trying to get us to get new phones! Hence why I laughed and walked out on him.
