I bought a Pre-Owned iPhone 13 from Best Buy. I asked support in advance what the difference between that and a Geek Squad Refurbished phone was. They told me: "the Pre-Owned is refurbished by Apple with genuine parts, new batteries, and new outer shells, and come in new packaging with all accessories."
I received the phone in the mail. It came from a Best Buy Returns address.
I looked online to find out how you know what you're getting and several websites said that if an iPhone is refurbished by Apple, the Model number will have an N at the beginning. And an F means it was refurbished by someone else. But if it starts with an M or P, then it's original.
Okay - my phone's model number starts with an M.
So, now I don't know what I have. And I don't know if Best Buy is trying to pull one over on me.
What do you think?
