I currently have an SE 2 and I want to upgrade to something newer. My screen time is 1-2 hrs a day, I use my phone for the basic tasks. As for photos, I don't use it for professional photograph, or anything like that. My budget is around 500 buck, and for that money i could get the iphone 13 pro or for 350 buck the iphone 14. There are the 2 phones that I would consider buying in the first place. Is the 13 pro worth the extra 150 bucks in your opinion? The most important upgrade would be the 120hz on the 13 pro.

I've never used an iPhone before but I'm thinking about making the jump from android. My only dilemma is whether I should go for the 13P or the 14P?

The 13P can only be bought secondhand now in my country so it won't come with a warranty etc. while I could get the 14P while it's still in stock now. However, the 13P is much cheaper than the 14P and I'm not sure if the 14P is that much better than the 13P. For context, the 13P 256gb is selling at approx $700 while the 14P 256gb is $1055.

What do you think? Is the 13P still a good choice in 2023?

My partner needs to upgrade her very old iphone and would like a better camera - should she upgrade to the iPhone 13 Pro instead of an iPhone 14 Pro? Looks like refurbished iphone 13 Pro 256GB models can go for as little as $730, versus an iphone 14 Pro 256GB which Apple sells for $1099 (as usual, Apple pulled the iphone 13 Pro from its store, worried it would take away from sales of the 14 Pro). From what I've seen they are basically de same phone but the 13 pro has the extra lense, but what do you guys think it's more worth it.

Do you guys think the Iphone 13 pro will have the same software updates as the 14 since they have the exact same chip?

I'm an Android user at the moment. I have always been a fan of iPhones, and after having a great, satisfactory experience with a range of Android smartphones through the last couple of years, I want to now shift to the iPhone.

My brother and I will both get our first iPhones together, in a few weeks. He will be getting the iPhone 15, while I am confused between the base iPhone 13 and 14. Please do not suggest me to go for the 15, as we have decided according to our budget.

Could anyone please help me out with choosing one between the two? I need to make a decision in about 2 weeks.

The main factors are:

1. RAM

I'll go for the 128GB model. My current storage on my Android is 128GB and I've never faced any issue. Is 128GB on an iPhone the same as on Android, or is there any difference? The 13 has 4GB, while the 14 has 6GB. My current Android phone has 6GB. To the ones with the 4GB 13, is it manageable for someone with a couple of apps with moderate-to-heavy use, 2–3K photos, and just regular use of the phone? How do you all manage it? Has it been easy/smooth? Any drawbacks? I think the 14 wins in this aspect as its got the bigger RAM (6GB).

2. Camera

I want a good camera that clicks decent/appealing pictures. Is the 13 or the 14 better in this aspect?

3. Battery

I heard the 13 has a better battery than the 14. I want my phone to run for 4–5 years. I've read a lot of posts with negative opinions about the 14's battery and how it degrades really quickly over time, and that scares me, honestly. Or is it just certain cases? Anyone here with a 14 that has a good, healthy battery? Does the 13 win in terms of battery?

4. Support/updates

As I will use my iPhone for 4–5 years, which one would last longer? Which one would work well even after it stoppes receiving iOS updates? Now, I assume the 14 would work for an extra year or two as it was released a year after the 13. I read posts on this subreddit about how updating to a certain iOS version messed up the entire phone (13/14). So does the phone work well without necessarily always updating to the latest version? Does the 13 or 14 win in this aspect?

Yesterday I ended up upgrading from the standard 12, I went for the 13 Pro mainly for ProMotion and the green colour. I’ve never had a Pro phone before so I’m pretty excited.

However, I’ve noticed the 14 Pro is only like £5 more expensive a month, my phone isn’t arriving until Monday so I could cancel it.

What do you think? For such a small price difference am I going to miss out on a boost of power from the 14 Pro? I’m not too won over by the dynamic island - the MP upgrade from the camera might be nice, but I know these days that megapixels aren’t everything, not a big fan of the colours either and really love the green 13 Pro.

This is a 2 year contract so I don’t wanna regret my purchase.

So I can get the 13 pro with 1 TB for about the same price as the 14 pro with 256 GB. Which one would you choose?

I don't care too much about the dynamic island feature. I just want a strong camera, strong battery life and a good display. I ´really like to shoot short videos with my phone. I wish the Pixel 7 pro came out in a more compact form factor.

My issue with the 13 pro is the white screen of death, and I read some reviews that the 14 pro it doesn't last the whole day. I can't afford the 15 pro, so the next best thing is the base 15. But I also want a pro model, which one is the best choice?

I care about good camera quality, battery life, long term iOS upgradability and reliability. Used iPhones for those two are close in price.

Would I be better off going with the newer base version of the iPhone (14), or the previous 13 pro version? Will the iPhone 13 pro stop receiving software updates much sooner than the 14 and hardware wise is there anything better in the 14 because it’s newer? Or is going for the slightly older 13 pro for a little extra money more worth it? Also wondering how the camera compares between the two, assuming the 13 pro is better but how much better? I’m looking to keep it long term (currently have an iPhone 7 I’m updating from), so the main thing I want from it is to last and be functional for as long as possible as I like to keep my phones until they’re no longer functional.

I’m looking to upgrade my Iphone Se (2020) to an Iphone 13 pro max or iphone 14 pro and I really am in a tough decision. I don’t think i’m a fan of the dynamic island tbh but I know iphone 14 pro has the a16 chip instead of a15 like the pro max I really would love to know what to get. I’m trying to have my phone for at least 4-5 years. But I am also a heavy phone user for my job and work so I know the iphone 13 pro max has a pretty great battery life.

Hey everyone, I’m looking to get a new phone cause my wrecked iPhone 11 Pro has just given up on me completely. I have the option to either get an IPhone 14 Pro or an IPhone 13 and I’m happy to get either however I just wanted opinions on what people would recommend, I’m not an Apple fanatic I know it’s pointless but deadass I like the dynamic island hahahah but at the same time if the iPhone 13 is better overall I wouldn’t care if I didn’t get the iPhone 14 pro.
