Lust like the title says, I'm looking for a waterproof pouch, not case, for my iPhone 7 Plus while equipped with an Otterbox defender.

A quick look through Amazon didn't net me any reliable results. Most reviews of the common waterproof pouches say that they just won't fit with the Otterbox on the phone.

Anyone know of one that does? I don't want the added expense of a waterproof hard case and would rather avoid the hassle of removing the iPhone from the Otterbox case everytime I want to place it in the pouch for snorkeling/swimming.

Search Amazon for waterproof tablet pouch. Maybe slightly bigger than you want, but you probably won't have to worry about your case not fitting.

I haven't used very many different brands of cases on any of my iPhones. I bought a LifeProof for my 4s when they first came out, and after that fell apart I went to an OtterBox Defender. It was a great case and I never had any problems with it. I upgraded to a 6 when they released and bought a cheap case because I just didn't have the money at the time to buy a defender. Never got around to buying one. Here now and I have an iPhone 7 Plus on the way. What is a good case option or case/screen protector option? Is there any reason I should stay away from OtterBox?

Because Otterboxes are ugly and bulky.

I had an Otterbox Commuter on my 6 and I have an Otterbox Commuter on my 7 Plus. I'll add that I love being case-less. Today's phones (whether iPhone or Android) are truly aesthetically pleasing and thin and really just miracles of modern technology. I hate the idea of hiding them in case that adds bulk and heft. I had an Otterbox Commuter for my phone for when I'd go off-roading. But generally I kept it case-less. That being said... with my 6, I've dropped it a couple of times, and cracked the screen. Found a place local to me (Phoenix-area folks, check out http://www.screenrepairplus.com ) that come to you and replace the screen for a good price. But after paying "a good price" a few times, it adds up. So with my 6, I started using the Apple leather case. Still aesthetically pleasing and still nice and sleek. But I still found myself being a bit too careless. The final nail in coffin is that I was taking the top off of my Jeep one night, and using the phone's flashlight. Dropped it in a violent fashion (and this is with the leather case on), and the screen didn't just crack, it became about 40% removed from the phone. At that point, I put it into the Otterbox Commuter full time. I was also told by the screen repair folks that it really couldn't be repaired, and it was probably worth upgrading (coincidentally, the 7's had just come out so... yeah twist my arm). Picked up a 7 Plus, and put it in a Commuter. I like the Commuter because it's a nice compromise between the bulk of a Defender-type case and the sleek-ness of a thin case (or going case-less). Yes, it adds some bulk/heft, but not too much. TL:DR; The whole idea of cases (which case, or whether or not to use a case at all) is, of course, highly subjective. Personally, I wouldn't want a Defender-type case on my phone for everyday use. I'd prefer to be case-less. But I find the Otterbox Commuter to be the perfect compromise between being protected and being light.

Kat, I would get a case for your iPhone 8 at least. It doesn’t hang to be an Otterbox, but it is a great choice. Remember you can price match amazon with Best Buy, just ask at checkout to do so if you find it cheaper and show the cashier.

Do you drop your phone much? I almost never drop my phone but I still always buy an otter box to protect it. I highly recommend doing so
