The porcelain tile I got is a beautiful medium colored realistic hardwood pattern in a large plank format. I am completely in love with it. I even got normal sized grout lines in the color of the knots on the wood and it's insane how much I love it. It's better than real wood to me. It's way way harder to scratch. Like it doesn't break till you Crack it all the way through. And these tiles are half an inch thick of porcelain. I had a porcelain bathtub in an older century home and that made me fall in love with porcelain. It was indestructible. It was 100 years old and you scrubbed it with steel wool and it wouldn't scratch. You could get anything off it. The tile finely textured so it's non slip but it's still scrubbable and resilient in the face of chemical cleaners. Impossible to stain. Impossible to damage with water. You put a layer of waterproofing under your tile, earthquake proofing, seal that grout, and you won't have to worry about that tile except for regrouting rarely.
