February 10, 2016JCP Stafford Wingtip Boots >3 Years
Although maybe the Stafford hype has died, these are one of the earlier "versions" of JC Penney's Stafford boots coming on two years of wear. I paid about 50$ for them in August of 2013 and have worn them more than any other shoe by a large margin. I'd say, on average, I've worn them about 4 times a week for the last 3-ish years. All things considered, they're holding up very well, although I will be replacing them soon. Hopefully this will help someone with any decisions they might make. Let me know if you have any questions! Note: A couple of months after owning them, I applied a VERY generous amount of Obenauf's boot leather polish, attempting to make them look black for a day. I've heard good things about those Wingtip boots that everyone and their mother have been buying, but what about the Stafford Bradford's (black captoe shoe)? It's like 43 bucks after the coupon right now.
Are these worth buying or should I try and save up for better quality shoes? I'm a poor college student if that makes any difference.
