I'm new to the Keychron products. I'm tempted to buy a K3 Max, but I figure it best to hold off as the one they are selling is an ugly grey. My question is, will they likely come out with new color key caps later on? I dont want to buy it now and then they end up selling it with more appealing color options later.

Their other low profile keycap sets are already compatible with it besides the one that says 'version 1'. You can put any low profile mx keycaps on it as long as they don't have the triangle offset stab keys. They probably won't change the default keycap options unless they come out with a version 2 but who knows. Just buy keycaps you like and put them on, keychron keycaps are nothing special anyway

Hi! I just recently bought a Keychron K3. Experience was good so far, except for the keycaps. I've got sweaty hands, and the keycaps easily becomes sticky. Like really sticky, unlike the other keyboards I've used before.

Now I want to replace my keycaps, but I've read that K3 is quite particular with keycaps. This is why I'd like to ask for advice on which keycaps are compatible with K3.

Bump (because I had this same question recently). Confirming that, like others have reported, the Azio low profile keys work with the k3 (non pro) - I'm using the coffee ones right now.

Keychron had new PBT keycaps on their store just 2 weeks ago, but they're not available for order yet they seems to be sold out instantly~~.~~ https://www.keychron.com/products/low-profile-double-shot-pbt-keycap-set To my understanding, the stems for Keychron switches are different from Kailh choc switches, making it harder to find alternative key caps. You're lucky that it has the inline stabilizers, some of the older Keychron low-profile boards have offset stabilizers and can't use anyone else's keycap sets.

I know Nuphy keycaps are compatible with the K3. Odds are other actual low profile caps will be as well. There are some "low profile" caps that are actually not intended for LP switches, they're just lower caps for regular switches, so you need to check.
