Hi,
I have the usual retirement investments, pension fund, and so on. However, these past few years I've been investing spare cash in all sorts of stocks and bonds, even crypto, and when the opportunity to invest in foreign stocks became possible, I bought some Tesla shares (I am not American). Considering the exchange rate, they've done well. I am trading on my own account for the fun of it; kind of like a game, I am my own broker. I am always on the lookout for a hot stock, kind of gambling on it. Just small change, I am not rich. So I've been thinking of investing in something that will be driven by Linux developments. I'm not talking about donating to the cause, but rather investing in a listed Linux-driven business which may grow and deliver cool returns. Any suggestions?

I decided to post this right here because I think maybe you can help me out. I was considering getting Linux because I've heard good things about it? Also, apologies if I flaired incorrectly. I've been searching for the stock Linux version, but all I find are Linux distros. I don't want a distro like Ubuntu or Gnome. I want stock Linux, without any modified code. Can I download the normal, no modified, stock Linux operating system? After your thoughtful comments, I have decided to use Damned Vulnerable Linux. It's even better than Windows 10!
