How to render an array of objects in React?
Don't use idx (index of loop) as key property of JSX element to avoid issues. Read this reactjs.org/docs/lists-and-keys.html#keys. Instead idx make use of some d.id. More on stackoverflow.com

Rendering a list of Mixed Content using React Components
Well, you're free to use react however you like... but if you're wanting to do it a more react-like way, there's no reason for the separate software item, fruit item, etc.. classes. Just include them as part of the react item. something like this (didn't check for syntax errors, just for concept) class RecipeItem extends React.Component{ constructor() { super(props); } matchesFilter(f) { var x = this.title.indexOf(f) >= 0 || this.ingredients.reduce(function(b, v) { return b || v.indexOf(f) >= 0; }, false); return x; } render() { let ingredientString = this.props.ingredients.join(', '); return {this.props.title} ({ingredientString}) -- prep time {this.props.prepTimeInMinutes} minutes; } } then in your catalog component you can use you would loop through your items, adding the recipie item componenets to an array, then render that array in the catalog item jsx. Which is the best React component library?
I started building my own component library about a year ago. You can check it out here if you want: https://rewind-ui.dev/ It's built on top of TailwindCSS and CVA. I have implemented some components that you might not find on other component libraries like the Sidebar: https://rewind-ui.dev/components/sidebar Other than that I believe that the most complete library out there is Mantine, but I haven't used it with TailwindCSS yet. Different Types of React Components | by Jess Pesale | Medium
December 22, 2021 - They are most often just a (stateless) functional component that receives some props and returns some JSX. Container components are mainly concerned with how things work. They are usually stateful and will use the redux store to provide data and behavior to presentational or other container components. There are two ways to define a React component — it can either be a function or a class.

Typically, new React apps have a single App component at the very top. However, if you integrate React into an existing app, you might start bottom-up with a small component like Button and gradually work your way to the top of the view hierarchy.

Lists and Keys – React
Keys only make sense in the context of the surrounding array. For example, if you extract a ListItem component, you should keep the key on the <ListItem /> elements in the array rather than on the <li> element in the ListItem itself.

React Design Patterns | Refine
July 28, 2025 - The principle behind this pattern is to break down the parent component into smaller components and then manage the interactions between these smaller components with either props, context or other react data management techniques. This pattern comes in handy when there is a need to create reusable, versatile components made up of smaller components.

You can do it in two ways:

First:

render() {
    const data =[{"name":"test1"},{"name":"test2"}];
    const listItems = data.map((d) => <li key={d.name}>{d.name}</li>);

    return (
      <div>
      {listItems }
      </div>
    );
  }

Second: Directly write the map function in the return

render() {
    const data =[{"name":"test1"},{"name":"test2"}];
    return (
      <div>
      {data.map(function(d, idx){
         return (<li key={idx}>{d.name}</li>)
       })}
      </div>
    );
  }

https://facebook.github.io/react/docs/jsx-in-depth.html#javascript-expressions

You can pass any JavaScript expression as children, by enclosing it within {}. For example, these expressions are equivalent:

<MyComponent>foo</MyComponent>

<MyComponent>{'foo'}</MyComponent>

This is often useful for rendering a list of JSX expressions of arbitrary length. For example, this renders an HTML list:

function Item(props) {
  return <li>{props.message}</li>;
}

function TodoList() {
  const todos = ['finish doc', 'submit pr', 'nag dan to review'];
  return (
    <ul>
      {todos.map((message) => <Item key={message} message={message} />)}
    </ul>
  );
}

class First extends React.Component {
  constructor(props) {
    super(props);
    this.state = {
      data: [{name: 'bob'}, {name: 'chris'}],
    };
  }

  render() {
    return (
      <ul>
        {this.state.data.map(d => <li key={d.name}>{d.name}</li>)}
      </ul>
    );
  }
}

ReactDOM.render(
  <First />,
  document.getElementById('root')
);

April 16, 2019 - By using the submit button to initiate the creation of the item, the handler makes sure to add the item to the stateful list. Also the native browser behavior is prevented by using the click event; otherwise the browser would refresh after the submit event. The following List component shows a stateful managed list where it’s possible to update an item in the list with a input element: ... import React from 'react'; const initialList = [ { id: 'a', name: 'Learn React', complete: false }, { id: 'b', name: 'Learn Firebase', complete: false }, { id: 'c', name: 'Learn GraphQL', complete: false }
