I keep seeing ads for Ruggable but are there better, less advertised options out there?

Pro tip: if you’re gonna buy a ruggable, make sure the size you’re getting will actually fit in your washing machine. We found out the hard way.

I have a selection of Ruggables, from the first. The colors do fade, no matter how carefully I washed them. The big difference is that while the oldest Ruggables lay flat, the newer ones sooner or later curl at the edges. I recommended them to a friend with dogs, and she wound up throwing them all out because of the curl. The oldest rug was in the highest traffic hallway. The newest one is in a lightly used office, and is curling. YMMV, but it seems like quality has taken a hit over the last few years.
