Apple Magic Keyboard for the M4 iPad Pro Review - Jessica Bryson
October 31, 2024 - Some of the other function keys that are on the Apple Magic Keyboard: ... Although I do think that these are a good addition and I do use them on occasion there are times when my muscle memory will pull me back to using the touchscreen. The M4 iPad Pro is the lightest iPad to date and it has been accompanied by the lightest and thinnest Apple Keyboard.

iPad Pro Magic Keyboard Review: My Unpopular Opinion
May 1, 2020 - The Magic Keyboard is an elegantly designed product. For starters, the floating display is one of the most futuristic-looking things that I’ve seen to date. With the Pro being a near bezel-less device, it is almost surreal looking at it sitting ...

Best VNC Client for iPad pro with magic keyboard
Jump Desktop works well for me. Can download it to your mac and sign in to your account. Then you can control the mac from your iPad on any wifi connection. Mouse works perfectly for me, and I presume trackpad will work as well. It’s not technically VNC, but I don’t think you’ll care lol. They also support VNC though if you wanna set that up instead. Just got the iPad Pro 11” Magic Keyboard! Ask me anything!

Can you crush the keyboard into a fine granulated powder and mix with hot milk and distribute it en masse as a new protein shake

Disappointed (or not) by Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro - Hardware - MPU Talk
April 21, 2020 - So I received my Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro (12.9 inch, 2018) yesterday. I had a relatively high expectation of it given the hypes, but became doubtful as soon as I picked up the shipping box — it was as though I was ho…

I was wrong about Apple’s new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro - Digital Trends
The new Magic Keyboard makes the iPad feel even more like a laptop. Nadeem Sarwar / Digital Trends · While a larger trackpad is a welcome change, you really experience its true benefits when dragging and dropping apps, especially across screens.

Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro review: Living the dream – Six Colors
April 24, 2020 - Since it’s only affixed to the Magic Keyboard via magnets, it’s easy to just pull the iPad off and leave the rest behind. That three-pound laptop turns into a 1.4-pound tablet. The real magic of this keyboard is in that transformation. Since keyboard is in the name of the product, it’s probably worth talking about its actual keys. The 12.9-inch model I used to write this review is a full-sized Apple keyboard, a pretty close match to the exact width of the keyboard on my old 11-inch MacBook Air.

Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro review: the best way to turn an iPad into a laptop | The Verge
Apple’s new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro makes it easy to turn a tablet into a laptop. But it’s expensive, heavy, and more limited than you might expect. Still, if you want to convert an iPad into a laptop, it’s the best option available.

Review of the 13-inch Magic Keyboard for iPad (2nd generation) – tow.com
May 22, 2024 - The Magic Keyboard should not be the reason to buy the new iPad Pro, but it’s recommended if you plan to use the iPad in laptop mode. If affordability is an issue, check out the Logitech Combo Touch or an external keyboard with a Smart Cover or an iPad stand. ... Very thorough review, Adam!

r/ipad on Reddit: My Review of the Magic Keyboard after 1 week of usage
January 25, 2025 -

First and foremost, I don’t like how YouTubers always promote the iPad Pro’s. I personally use an iPad Air M2 13” 256GB, which is more than enough power for me personally. I’ll be honest, I never saw why it Apple would make a Magic Keyboard for the iPad, as I always thought it was just a flex to be real with you. (Okay, I’ll admit I was a hater😂), then after buying one luckily brand new sealed at a significant discount, I now see why people say you can potentially use this in a laptop-like way, I’ve been primarily using this setup mainly the whole week intentionally with my full time job and studies, it really did the wonders for me. I feel less distracted than using my MacBook to be quite frank and felt I was way more productive using this Magic Keyboard with my iPad Air 13”, I personally use it as an alternative laptop just in case if my M1 MacBook Air breaks, god forbid, it really excelled in the experience for me with the iPad. One thing I was really concerned with in the beginning was the battery life as I was scared a full charge wouldn’t last the whole day. Luckily, it does! I take it everywhere with me now more than my MacBook, even to the office, I only go once a week for meetings that mandatory to attend. I do my banking, signing documents is more easier (now just need to get the Apple Pencil, will probably get the Apple Pencil Pro sometime later in the year), sending emails, sending documents from my iCloud Drive from my stuff from my MacBook, making and editing documents to give to new clients. Taking it to meeting to make notes (with the note app) instead of having a diary, it honestly makes my life so much easier, I don’t really care about not having the cellular version of the iPad, as i use my iPhone as hotspot and buy a lot of data monthly, and mainly around WiFi luckily. People are even shocked at the workplace that I am using an iPad to do my work, as they don’t really know what an iPad is capable of. In first world countries in the field I’m in. They mainly use iPads with a Magic Keyboard to do their work as it involves a lot of research/prospecting in properties. The keyboard hasn’t left my iPad ever since. I really wouldn’t consider myself a heavy user, due to the fact I don’t photo edit, video edit, I luckily have a professional photographer who specialises in taking photos of homes before putting it on the market and he is very good at it. Then just stuff for me and then emails the photos.

Apple's Magic Keyboard for iPad: Still Excellent, but Time for a Revision - CNET
March 29, 2022 - For me, the key travel is perfect, and it mirrors the feel of Apple's most recent MacBooks. I write fast and instinctually, and the positioning of the keys is pretty good for my muscle memory.

REVIEW: The 11-Inch iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard Really Is That Good — Undigital
May 19, 2020 - The larger iPad Pro is probably better if it’s your only device—the extra screen real estate no doubt comes in handy, especially with multitasking—but the smaller Pro is my favorite. The 11-inch version isn’t as good as a primary device, but in my opinion, it’s the best combination device. When I tested out the 12.9-inch version, I almost never took it off the Magic Keyboard case.

November 15, 2025 - But if you’re upgrading from an older iPad Pro or iPad Air, you’re in for a treat with these accessories. A very expensive treat, but a treat nonetheless. The Magic Keyboard aluminum top cover lends itself to a very premium feel, even if the rest of the keyboard is made from the same material as the prior keyboard.

Apple Magic Keyboard expands M4 iPad Pro to its full potential [Review]
December 27, 2024 - I’ve used dozens of tablet keyboards over the years, and none look as cool as Apple’s Magic Keyboard for iPad. The way the cantilever design makes the screen seem to float over the keyboard — brilliant. I’ve had strangers walk up and ask me where I got it as though it were some mysterious relic. The new version doesn’t fundamentally change the basic design. It just makes it better. The 13-inch M4 iPad Pro I’m using for this review weighs less than its predecessor, and that allowed Apple to move the integrated tablet stand farther back without unbalancing the accessory.

January 15, 2025 - But there are 3 things I don’t like about the Magic Keyboard. First, it adds quite a bit of weight to the iPad. By itself, this is the lightest and thinnest iPad, even thinner than the iPod Nano which we old farts used to carry in our pockets. But with the Magic Keyboard, it weighs as much as a small laptop.

Daring Fireball: The iPad Magic Keyboard
At $350 for the 12.9-inch model and $300 for the 11-inch, the iPad Magic Keyboard is not cheap, but it feels like a premium product. I think it unlikely we’ll find a peripheral with comparable quality at a lower price. As per my usual habit when reviewing iPads and iPad peripherals, I wrote this entire review using the Magic Keyboard.
