Contrary to the other two posts... If you are buying suit separates from a minimally reputable brand, e.g. J. Crew, the materials will be the same between the jacket and the pants. When the materials are the same, there are two advantages to buying a suit as separates: Pants size is not tied to jacket size. Allows you to buy multiple pairs of pants for each jacket. One issue with separates is that sometimes the colors don't line up quite as well as you'd like. I've seen cases where a company will have blazers in a color and no slacks in that color. It would be very easy to wind up with a mismatched wardrobe. I would say you might be better off buying a suit as a whole. Then you have the option of using the pieces as separates. A word on pricing - you probably shouldn't pay $700-800 for a suit off the rack at a Macy's or similar. You can get a suit made-to-measure for $300-$400, and a truly bespoke suit in the $800-1000 range. More on reddit.com

I don't sell men's suits, but I would think they'd sell better as a matching set. If someone asks you to sell them separately, you can make that decision then. You could also state in the listing that you can separate them if requested. Normally if you split up a set and buy separately, the price for each item is higher than buying both together, which might encourage them to purchase both.
