Yes. They don't overcharge and they build them just like you would. They get parts in bulk so they can charge less for the pc. I bought a power spec from them some years ago that I've since upgraded a few times, but the original was excellent and I couldn't have built it cheaper. Looknat some of their rigs and put the parts into pc part picker to compare. Maybe you can build it cheaper, but there's a good chance that it'll be around the same price or less than doing it yourself. This is coming from someone who has built his own PCs for the last 20 years. Answer from ahandmadegrin on reddit.com

Anyone had any experience with MicroCenter?
I buy almost all my parts there. If there's ever a problem, I can easily swap the part out same day. More on reddit.com

Thoughts on Microcenters Prebuilt PCs?
Building your own PC is just like an expensive puzzle. On top of saving a bit of cash by putting it together yourself you may learn a thing or 2 and might be able to troubleshoot your own problems down the line. Either way is fine though. Good luck on the new build or pre build. More on reddit.com

September 20, 2021 -

Given the current state of the GPU market, I went into the local MicroCenter (Duluth, GA) to get a pre-built with a 3080. Ended up walking out with one of their-brand pre-builts, PowerSpec. They also had a ton of 3000 series gpu in stock (only 3080TI). My build was supposed to have a 3070. 100%. It seems someone f-ed up and I have a 3070-Ti for the same low price. This is more of a recommendation than a discussion for anyone searching for a gpu lol. I now love MicroCenter

Edit: Thought I'd add one since the post got more comments than I expected. I've stressed the pc pretty hard for the past couple of days and haven't had any issues so far. Great performance.

If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post: New build or upgrade? Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors) Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) Budget range? (Include tax considerations) WiFi or wired connection? Size/noise constraints? Color/lighting preferences? Any other specific needs? Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests: Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software. Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists. We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date. You can find them all at MC if you must, but I'd recommend taking a day to learn how to build a PC and give it a whirl yourself. It's really not too difficult.
