the best office365 plan for a small family business ?
Is Intune included with Microsoft 365 Business or E3?
Microsoft 365 = Office 365 + EMS + Windows 10. There is both an E3 and E5 for Microsoft 365. I believe Microsoft 365 E3 is $34/person/month.
EMS E3 and EMS E5 both include Intune as well as other features (like Azure AD premium and conditional access).
Office 365 E3 is $20/user/month and like was mentioned above does Not include Intune.
However, you can purchase Office 365 E3 for $20/user/month and EMS E3 for $8.74/user/month if you don’t need a Windows 10 license and save yourself ~$5/user/month off the Microsoft 365 E3 plan.
Final option is you could do just Intune for $6/user/month instead of EMS E3/E5 if you don’t need the extra features in EMS.
Yes, it can get confusing at time, but hopefully that helps. Just remember Office 365 does not equal Microsoft 365...and Microsoft doesn’t always do a great job of making that clear.
Here is a podcast episode my cohost and I recorded where we did an introduction to Microsoft 365 that may help as well - https://www.msclouditpropodcast.com/episode51/

Microsoft 365 plan for business
Videos
Hi,
We are looking to start a small business. Just finished registering our business domains. We have decided that 365 will be needed to provide services. But I plan to start small. I see they have per user plan which is good.
My requirement right at the setup stage is to have a few working email addresses like office, admin, payroll etc. so I can divide my work. Does that mean I will have to pay for multiple users even thought it’s just me doing it ?
My initial requirement is to just have access to Microsoft suite of tools and also to setup multiple emails. How can I achieve that cost effectively ? Thanks
