My wife and I are looking to purchase mid-century modern furniture. However, we need several new, big pieces (new bedroom set, couches, etc.) which are all obviously significant expenses and we want to be sure that we're getting good, quality products and value for our money. We've been looking at the following stores:

• Crate and Barrel

• West Elm

• Room and Board

• Thuma (their bed specifically)

• AllModern on Wayfair

• Article

The first 3 (C&B, WE, and R&B) are obviously the main, name brand contenders in this space. And have the price tag to boot. Thuma's bed has very promising reviews online and is one we're really considering. I know that Wayfair in general is a mixed bag, which includes in the AllModern brand and their price points reflect that (bedroom sets range from $300 - $3,000). Article is a furniture store that I've only recently heard of and not sure what to think of yet.

Has anyone purchased from these stores before that can validate their longevity? Have you had issues with the furniture 2+ years after purchasing it? Are there any other stores we should be considering?
