I've been looking for the 64-bit MinGW Windows installer for a bit now and can't find it, people on forums just link back to the 32-bit installer saying "It works on 64-bit Windows". I have no clue how I found it before but I got it on my laptop about 2 months ago but can't find it now when I want to get it for my desktop. I'm currently running the newest version from the github but it doesn't come with libraries like GMP and every attempt to find / create it separately doesn't work

If you're on Windows, there really is no good reason to not just use Visual Studio instead. Or the WSL if you want an actual Linux experience. But if you insist on using Mingw, use this distro: https://nuwen.net/

Hi,

Is anyone else experiencing problems to download the above from sourceforge: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/.

The documents I follow all state that the downloaded file should be an exe but in this case I download a zip with source documents.

Under Files I found the installer (mingw-w64-install.exe) but after it starts it return an error that requirments.txt cannot be downloaded.

Install MSYS2 which includes MinGW.

If you can, just install Visual Studio (not VSCode). It comes with a ~5 click all-in-one installer and will just work out of the box. The documents I follow Maybe dont follow them. Suggesting mingw to students is a good indicator of a bad tutorial. If you have to stick with mingw, I would suggest https://nuwen.net/
