My account disappeared and Amazon has not been very helpful getting in back thus far.
Amazon has restricted my account due to 'abnormal buying and returning patterns'?
parents want to use my amazon account.
I can't log into my Amazon account
Videos
I use my amazon account a lot (it's pretty much the only place I buy anything from), I don't sell, and I rarely return items. A couple days ago I tried to log in and I wasn't able to. I tried to change my password and it wouldn't let me. I called tech support and they said my account doesn't exist. Now I've read stories about people having their accounts deleted for violating TOS, but as far as I know I haven't done anything other than buy crap from them, including tons of e-books and audiobooks. I don't think that's against the TOS.
They said I should re-create my account using the same information, so I did, and everything is gone. My hundreds of ebooks and audiobooks, my order history, saved information, wish lists, gift cards, and a huge credit that was part of a deal for buying a TV - all of it gone. Tech support said they would get back to me, but it has been several days and I haven't heard anything.
Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any advice? Every person I have talked to on the phone says something different, including one lady who said I just need to fill out a form that she would send to me, but it never showed up. I did get a really helpful guide on what makes a good password though.
One more thing, I did buy a new phone at a local sprint store that I had logged in to amazon on, and ended up returning it to the sprint store without wiping it (dumb, I know, I assumed they would automatically do it). For about a 24 hour period, the store put my phone out as a demo and anyone who used it would have had access to my account while in the store. I called them as soon as I realized this and they wiped it. I don't know if there is anything anyone playing with a demo phone could have/would have done to my account, but it's the only thing that had changed prior to my account disappearing.
I really appreciate any help.
I buy a lot and return a lot of things on Amazon, but they are now saying that this violates their terms and conditions. I can't make any new orders, in doing so they are immediately cancelled. Has anyone experienced this before? Why is it asking me to verify my identity? What do they do with this info?
Why did this happen?
We have detected unusual ordering activity on your account, and have therefore canceled your order as a precautionary measure to protect the Amazon store and our customers.
I would still like to place this order. What should I do?
When unusual ordering activity comes to our attention, we evaluate accounts on a case-by-case basis to determine if additional action is necessary. If you would like to place your order again, you can appeal Amazon's decision to cancel your order by accessing the secure customer portal at the following link:
https://account-status.amazon.co.uk/identity-validation-eu
After providing the appeal details, you will be directed to our third-party service provider Persona to upload a valid government issued identity document for verification.
okay so my parents found out i have an amazon prime account today and now they want access to it so they can place an order through it but i can’t just let them have access to my account for privacy reasons.
so i need to make sure neither of them can see my cart, wishlist, browsing history, and never ever for the love of god my order history.
if i invite my dad to join my amazon family or whatever will he be able to see my order history or what’s in my cart? he’s already being a bitch about it so i need to know asap before he just hacks my account or some shit 0~0
