r/singularity on Reddit: Are we unknowingly being shown AI generated scenes/content on streaming services?
December 16, 2024 -

I was watching Barack and Michelle Obama's new nature doc on Netflix called "Our Oceans". Pretty obvious that the majority of the scenes are NOT AI generated.. but there are a bunch of quick cuts and transition scenes where it felt pretty recognizable. If it is AI, it's a better model than is publicly available to anyone at the moment (which would make sense if OpenAI licensed SORA to them months ago).

Anyway, I could be totally wrong, just wanted to get some other thoughts. Do you think we are unknowingly being shown AI generated content on streaming platforms?

I don’t know. But it does feel like a good basic law that when AI generated content is shown there’s an expectation for the consumer to be aware of it… Answer from wayward_missionary on reddit.com
