I’m an employee, so I can’t even use the cardmember sales, and I still say it’s worth it. If you shop there relatively often, the points alone are a great benefit. I have $79 in rewards sitting in my account right now just making normal purchases the past few months. Also, if you get approved for the MasterCard, they regularly run 5% back at grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations, which also helps the points rack up! More on reddit.com

Did you give them your SSN? If you were truly deceived you can dispute the credit checks and the new card to all three bureaus. This will need to be done in writing and to all bureaus where inquiries were pulled and where the card reports. More on reddit.com

The first purchase with it gets a 30% discount. It’s a pretty standard retail card with 5 points per dollar spent at the GAP brands. 1 point everywhere Mastercard is accepted. Every 100 points you get a $1 reward certificate you can use on purchases. You get free faster shipping on online orders over $50 when you use it. If you shop at the GAP brands then the card is valuable since it covers all stores within the GAP brand. It has no annual fee so no real reason in closing it unless you legit can’t stand looking at it. It has a high APR but won’t be a problem if you pay in full every month.

It’s the only store card I’ll ever get and I’ve ever had. My husband and I both shop there and I usually have rewards to use, and their card member days are great. As a casual shopper there it’s been worth it for me without any cons.
