You can speed up the approval process using automation. For example, Amazon Business offers an Approvals tool that automatically routes POs to the correct approvers. The approvers receive notifications to review each request and follow-up reminders when they haven’t responded within a few days. If they're out of office, they can designate someone else to approve POs to ensure orders stay on track.

r/AmazonDSPDrivers on Reddit: How Does Amazon's Shipping Process Go?
March 11, 2024 -
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone knows the process how things go once I place my order.
I assume someone in a warehouse packages the order, and then someone else puts it in the carrier, and lastly someone delivers it. Is that about right, or are there a bunch of other steps along the way?

The item will be pulled from the nearest point where it is warehoused (or given to the carrier by the seller if it is not something warehoused by amazon.) If it is warehoused in a fulfillment center, it will be packaged up by associates there and processed into a truck where it will go to either a sortation center then delivery center or directly to a delivery center or carrier. If it goes to a carrier it gets delivered by them. Who the fuck knows how that works. If it goes to a Delivery Center, it will be inducted, sortated via the conveyor at the DC, stowed into a tote or overflow stack by a stower at the end of the conveyor, then be picked to a cart and the cart staged in a staging location. The driver will get the carts with their totes and overflow from the staging location to their van where they load everything into their van. They drive out to their route area and eventually should drop the package on your porch.

How Many Steps Are There Until Your Amazon Order Reaches Your Door? | Sellercloud
May 9, 2025 - The end-to-end journey of an Amazon order involves a two-part supply chain: the upstream and downstream supply chains. In simplest terms, the upstream supply chain deals primarily with the supply side of ecommerce—all the steps involved in creating, sourcing, and assembling a retail product. Conversely, the downstream supply chain focuses on the demand side of online retail—the steps sellers must take to purchase, store, market, sell, ship, and support their products.

Amazon order management: How to master it for optimal efficiency
April 22, 2025 - Once the order is received, it enters the processing stage where it’s acknowledged, and its validity is checked.
