After years of waiting and nonsense I still refuse to give up, I love gx, its my favourite browser yet I am still so annoyed that there is no version for linux. I have been a Linux user since I was a kid and I am friends with many people who are too so I would like to share a petition I found for It recently and ask you all to sign it and help us linux users get gx.Even if your a true blue windows user just sign it to help us please.They said years ago they would be brining it to linux but still nothing.

I finally somehow made GX work on Linux/Steam Deck, but it sometimes crashes. First you need lutris, wine-staging, and winetricks.
How?
First, make sure those three are installed using your system's package manager. On Arch Linux you need to edit /etc/pacman.conf and uncomment these lines:
[multilib-testing] Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist [multilib] Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
Now, you need to get this folder: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zmHprWV_DI-CymlM4iEJVG4m7ZtRr4e0/view and unzip it somewhere. I put it in ~/Games. Also, create a directory pfx in the folder and create a wineprefix:
export WINEPREFIX=/path/to/pfx
Run winecfg and you may experiment with different windows versions:
winecfg
After you're done go to lutris and create a new game by pressing the + button on the top left. The name is Opera GX and the runner should be wine. On the game options, to executable should be: /path/to/folder/launcher.exe and prefix should be: /path/to/folder/pfx. Architecture is x64. You may also change other options too and experiment. For the wine version I chose wine (staging) instead of fshack.
Problems
There are several problems running GX through wine. It crashes/freezes randomly and bugs could occur. Anyways, I think Opera will port GX to Steam Deck as it has already ported GX to Android (modified version of Linux kernel) and Mac OS (I don't know why since nobody games on Mac but it is a *NIX OS).

I recently wanted to download Opera GX after seeing it sponsored a bunch and wanted to see how it was. Sad thing is that it's not available for Linux normally. Has there been any news about a linux version of Opera GX?
I recently installed Ubuntu alongside Windows on my computer, but I now use Firefox and want to go back to Opera GX. Is there a Linux version of Opera GX in development?
