With just Adobe Acrobat:
- Cursor size: With current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, the mouse pointer size follows the size set in Windows: Settings → Cursor & Pointer.
- Pen cursor and functionality: in Adobe Acrobat: Preferences → General → Basic Tools → Use single-key accelerators to access tools (checked)
- Then, in full-screen mode,
Shift+Dswitches to different annotation tools (side effect is that it changes the cursor for some of them). After pressing it about 7 times, you will get a pen. You can use it to draw on the slide as well! Hwill get you your hand cursor back.SFor a speech-bubble (comment - sticky note) cursor

Acrobat Reader DC changes the mouse pointer into its own scheme. Not talking about the specific tools, just the standard mouse when hovering over the Acrobat window. I don't have the best vision, so I have my Windows mouse pointer set to be very visible, or I will lose track of it on the screen.

Yay this worked! Note that Adobe tried to hide the "OK" button from me in Preferences > General window because it filled the screen. I had to grab the scroll bar on the side of the window to get down to it. You'll need to click OK to activate the change. Thanks so much! More on reddit.com

I am adding my voice to this very odd and serious problem. I have 3 monitors and have a terrible time finding the cursor when using Adobe Acrobat. I can hit the Cntrl button to "ping it", but even that is not very efficient. I am constantly going back and forth between software and monitors and have to play "find the cursor" every time I use your product. Ugh. Please, please change this. How hard could it be? Thanks for your consideration.

Ever since Adobe switched to a subscription service and and DC pro, the software has taken a large step backwards. Functionality is more limited and there are many more bugs. When the program is not crashing by itself I often have to close and restart it to get the program to function properly. Very disappointed, especially considering the price point.

We have windows 8. It seems that adobe reader does not use cursors from the windows directory. The cursors that we use for the mouse are extra large, while the reader uses small hand cursor. Some software do have the ability to change the mouse pointer. I think that Adobe can improve in that direction.

I can't seem to get the hand tool to remain as an arrow when I ctrl-L to fullscreen so I can present. When I go fullscreen the mouse pointer goes back to being the hand tool which is white and hard to see compared to the nice big red mouse pointer we've set up for the people using powerpoint.
Can I force acrobat to use the windows mouse pointer when fullscreen? I'd settle for the arrow that acrobat uses if that is as close as I can get. Anything but Mickey Mouse's hand.
