Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 owner here. After experiencing recoverable black screens on the menu of CS:GO with the latest driver, I went to download the same driver to reinstall after DDU, when I noticed there is now the Radeon™ Pro Software for Enterprise available for the 5500 and 5700 cards. So...
-
Reboot in safe mode
-
Remove drivers with DDU
-
Install Radeon™ Pro Software for Enterprise 20.Q1
It has the old UI, which is fine. Lets you do a custom install, you can install only the display driver if you so wish, or the software as well, with or without ReLive. I installed everything anyway.
Gaming performance, surprisingly, went up! Heaven Benchmark extreme preset score went from 3011 to 3231. Brief test on CS:GO showed no menu issues and higher FPS numbers while playing. GTA 5 played at a constant 60 FPS (60Hz monitor) with no dips.
OpenCL performance rendering on Blender seems to be exactly the same as on Adrenalin.
Bottom line is, if you are having driver problems with a Navi card, before RMA or ebay it, try a DDU plus Radeon Pro driver install, it doesn't take much time or effort to try anyway.
If you have tried the Radeon Pro drivers, please comment your experience, if any issue you had before is still present, and if you also noticed better gaming performance, which I find really odd and would like to corroborate.
