r/UniversalOrlando on Reddit: Discount Tickets To Epic Universe Locally Somewhere?
October 21, 2025 -

Hi,

We're going to be coming in and staying on the 15th to the 25th of November and want to do Epic Universe from out of town from the West Coast and we're going to be flying in.

I was wondering is there any local spots to get discount tickets JUST for Epic Universe? I understand that prices can vary depending on the day you go. I know coming in October for a cruise they had this booth set up at this gift shop next to the waffle house where you could get $140 credit towards a park ticket for going to a 90-minute presentation which is probably for a timeshare.

But I'm more looking for if there's any places that just offer discount tickets locally because there's a lot of places that say they sell like discount tickets or you can get tickets at like Walmart and things like that or even at like our hotel we're staying at they will offer tickets but I don't know if it's any of a discount.

I saw that undercover tourist has a deal but for the deal you have to go to Universal and Epic universe and we just want to do Epic Universe.

Also I'm aware that people that they have annual passes can get like 15% off tickets for Epic Universe but it sounds like for those it's only for pass holders and a Passover cannot purchase the discount tickets for family and friends that are a passholder.

Because we're going to be pretty tight for our budget and we're trying to save wherever possible as my friend that's coming with me he's only going to have just over $600 budget for parks and for food and we're skipping Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure so that we can go to Epic Universe since we're doing the Orlando Informer event for Universal Orlando in it Islands of Adventure either that first weekend on Saturday or the next weekend after.

I have seaworld, Busch Gardens, and Disney covered for us for the trip already.

I have a friend that we normally get comp tickets from that works for Universal each year and I know as of August 2025 team members get 2 tickets a month for Epic Universe but unfortunately their 2 tickets for November are already taken for November and we don't know of any other team members that work there.

We don't have a specific day that we're going yet the only day that would be restricted is obviously the day we're coming in on the 15th, the 18, and the 25 when where leaving to go back home. But we're open to other days.

Someone also said the best day to go would be Saturday for less crowded lines which normally for places that I've gone to it's busy on Saturdays but again this is more of a touristy area then locals people are coming in from all over the place and usually on the weekends maybe they're trying to fly home or something and it's not as busy because weekends is mostly locals?

I mean as much as we don't really want to we're seriously considering finding a time to do this 90 minute presentation get $140 off tickets each but would rather have other means otlf trying to save on tickets.

If anyone has info that would be great.

As a former passholder who let it lapse (waiting for Epic to be added to the pass options), I'm happy to see that single-day tickets for Epic Universe are able to be purchased now! May is fully blocked out, but June is still totally available.

I'll be going June 2nd - so excited that this park is finally going to be real!

Hi everyone, hopefully I can give enough explanation to have my question answered. My husband and I just purchased annual passes, but we will not be using them for the first time until November 15th. We are doing a trip with the rest of my family, so I have two questions:

  1. Would it be better for me to purchase the tickets for my family through DOD discount in advance ($403.75 for park to park and 1 day Epic), or wait til we get into the park and buy my family's tickets with my annual pass discount?

  2. Because I cannot buy the discounted Epic Universe tickets till my pass is activated, would we be okay to buy them on the day of, or is it safer to forgo the discount and purchase them in advance through the regular ticketing website?

  3. (Edited to add) I can only purchase discounted Epic tickets for myself and my husband as passholders, not the rest of my family, correct?

Me and my girlfriend are from the UK and have already booked to go to Disney and universal next year coincidently in the first couple of weeks whilst epic universe is open. We would both love to go to Epic universe to see what it’s about but we already have our tickets and obviously it’s not included. Surely they will release single day admission tickets, does anyone know when this will be and have an idea of how much this will cost?

Hey all! I am in Orlando until Sunday the 25th and would love to check out Epic Universe, but (of course) all dates for this week already seem sold out. I'm not really familiar with Universal's ticketing system, but do they offer a resell market anywhere? Or is anyone willing to resell their ticket?

Thanks!

August 10, 2025 -

We are two nerdy friends in our 30s. We love HP, HTTYD, Nintendo and more! We are planning a trip in October to go to Epic Universe. We are staying for two nights at one of the universal resorts but we are only doing Epic Universe for one day. I have some random questions:

  1. How far in advance do I need to buy tickets to the park? Do they sell out? Our concern is that last year FL was still having hurricanes in Oct. If the weather is going to be really bad we're not going to go. I'm flying to Orlando so if there is a hurricane I won't even make it to FL likely lol. AFAIU you can't cancel your tickets or resell them once you buy them. So we are wondering how much time do we have to decide?

  2. What is your preferred method for carrying around your necessities (ID, credit card, cash, dramaine, sunblock, etc). Does anyone have any clever solutions? I really don't want to carry around a purse, backpack or clutch if I can help it. I'm thinking of getting a fanny pack or one of those cross chess bags but then IDK where to put my water bottle. Gotta stay hydrated

  3. Are there any foods/restaurants we should try in Epic/City Walk? Maybe more importantly places to avoid? According to some content creators I watch, I heard Toadstool Cafe is NASTY?

  4. We are getting to our hotel around 5-6pm the night before. Anything suggestions on things to do that night? Right now we are thinking we will go over to city walk and have dinner somewhere. We will have a car but I don't think we will want to do any driving once we park it at the hotel

Hi, I was planning to go to epic universe on may, 30th. Pretty close to their opening. It is a personal special day and the only park I want to go to is epic universe (I’ve been to the other ones not long ago). Why do we have to get a 3 day ticket minimum to get 1 day access to epic universe??? I know it’s their marketing strategy and I suspect it is to limit crowd capacity. But, damn I really wanted to go. I was going to plan for one day and not worry about hotels, boarding my dog overnights, etc. But, it seems like I do not have a choice unless I wait a few of months until there is one. Just making this post to rant but also to see if someone else would know about something or if I missed something on the website. If not, that’s alright, I’ll plan the trip again in a couple of months. Thank you! For the people who are going soon, have fun!!!

Maybe I'm completely misled/misunderstanding this, but it seems the only way to go to EPIC right now is to buy a multi-pass ticket for the other parks as well?

Personally, I liked Universal Studios, but not enough to go back so soon. As for Island of adventure, my group wouldn't do the big rides like Hulk, Velocicoaster and Doom Fall, but they agreed to do every single ride at Epic (except Stardust Racers, which you bet I'll ride solo anyways).

In any case, it would help us budget for a trip if we didn't need to buy a multi-pass ticket, so I'm just wondering when will it be possible to visit without having to buy more expensive tickets for the parks we don't currently want to visit again?

r/UniversalOrlando on Reddit: Can anyone give me some advice on what kind of tickets I should acquire for Epic Universe?

So me and a ton of friends are planning a Universal trip this summer to celebrate the Nintendo World and Switch 2 launches coming out around the same time (we’re Nintendo freaks btw). We’re trying to figure out the best ticket layout to buy so we can make the most of Epic universe.

I see on the website you can’t buy a 2-day pass for Epic even in the bundles with the other parks, it seems like there’s no way to go to Epic for two days for a discounted price. Me and the homies are going for a weekend so three days should be adequate but we believe we only need two days for Epic. It looks like the best bang for our buck is to get a multi-day pass with Islands of Adventure and Epic for 2 days respectively and then buy a stand alone epic universe ticket for the final day. My main question is: can you buy 2 different tickets for one weekend and is this a good plan? Is two days enough to see most of Epic Universe?? We need two days for Epic at least so it’s honestly more worth it to get the bundle and then just an individual instead of two individual Epic tickets, it’s around the same price and we also get to go to Islands for a day.

May seem like a dumb question but I just want to know 100% if we can mix tickets like this or if there’s any other options that would be better/cheaper? Again our main vibe is to go to Epic for two days and a third day for Islands can be on the table we just don’t know if we can buy two different tickets at once for different days if that makes sense? We also wanna know if two days is enough. Any help is appreciated!
