I just got my reformation adwen wedding dress and I am nervous it is too simple. I lovedddd it in the photos on their website. Has anyone gotten married in this dress or one similar? I would love advice on how to style it.
Having a small 40 person wedding wonder if anyone has tried on the bridal dresses in person. Are they nice enough to have as a wedding dress? Really love this one from the new collection.

I'm a Reformation true believer after I ended up liking the Poppy dress so much more than the $3,000 dress I'd purchased (although GLL is absolutely beautiful). I was a little hesitant because I couldn't find many reviews or pictures of their dresses on women who aren't models, but I'm so impressed with them (I'm getting married in a week and will post pictures then :)) I'd love to know who else wore a Reformation dress and if you want to share pictures.
Also just a PSA that this dress is on sale and needs to be snatched up: https://www.thereformation.com/products/seleste-dress-consuelo
I bought a dress from Reformation for a wedding where I was a bridesmaid, and the experience was disappointing. My seamstress already had concerns that the material looked “pre-worn”. That was a little concerning to me, but it was still very much wear-able. I knew the dress was on sale when I bought it, but I didn’t know why (I bought it for $180 by the way). I just assumed it was a season change thing.. This should have been a red flag.
I decided to tell Reformation about it because I felt cheated by this company that builds their brand on sustainable principles. Somewhere along the way, I may have fell into their trap of confusing their insanely high markup and greenwashing with sustainable practices and good quality.
After talking to their team, I was compensated about 10% of the price. I accepted it because - silly me - I still thought the dress was going to be lovely on the day of the wedding despite the details my seamstress noticed with a close eye.
On the wedding day (July 6th), I started wearing the dress at 1 PM. By 3:30 PM, it was tearing at the seams. Being part of the wedding party, I had to maintain my appearance, and with help from others, I pinned the obvious tear and used some flowers for coverage. This limited my movement as I was concerned about the tear getting bigger or the flowers falling out. Eventually, I resorted to tying a scarf over it, which worked, but was also just not what I expected to look like during this wedding.
I’m puzzled as to why Reformation sold this piece in the first place. It was on sale, but there was no mention of it being used or so worn out. As a consumer, I feel that it is a misleading practice to not make it obvious that it was pre-worn or has quality issues.
Reformation should have disclosed this information, allowing me to make a more informed decision. The quality of the dress was appalling, and I hope to be compensated or at least receive an explanation as to why a brand known for its price tag and seemingly “good quality” would sell a piece that:
-
a seamstress clearly saw had stressed and worn-out fabric
-
couldn’t last on my body for more than 3 hours without falling apart
I feel the need to share my experience to warn the girlies out there to never trust a brand - examiner piece by piece. And gosh darn it, if your seamstress was saying it looks “worn out” maybe you should think twice about wearing the dress because it could mean that it may fall apart during your event.

I’m considering this dress for my son’s wedding in early August. It will be a small wedding, bridesmaids are wearing emerald green, the bride is wearing black and my son is wearing a white jacket & black pants. Anyone have any insight into Reformation quality and sizing?
I don’t love how expensive their dresses are for the quality, but I do love the fit of the dress and how light it always feels.
Hoping to spend only $400-$500 for an elopement dress. Has anyone tried or purchased reformation wedding dresses? Do they run small?
I've worked with tons of brides who chose Reformation for a pre-wedding event or wedding dress, and only one had to exchange it for a larger size. If you have a big bust, I recommend going one size up, but normally, they seem to fit true to size if you match your measurements with their size guide.
Do you need any assistance finding a dress? I'd be happy to help!

This a support subreddit, not a fashion critique subreddit. Bridal fashion has changed quite a bit, and "too trendy/dated" is not a valid reason to disqualify a dress. Our rule about not denigrating dress styles is always in effect. Constructive honesty is best.
Please pick according to what the bride is looking for or what suits the bride the most. Most brides are wearing sample dresses and will be altered to fit for their day of, so please try and ignore proportions and how it "fits" when it's clearly clamped or there's an extender.

wedding dress stock is dwindling on ref site… anybody know if this is just clearing the way for next season or if they’re closing the bridal shop?
I’m absolutely in love with this Reformation dress for my civil wedding, but afraid that it’s too yellow-ish… As I’m based outside of the US, it’s not possible to try it on in store or see IRL without ordering online. Does anyone think it’s too yellow-ish? I contacted customer service at Reformation and they informed me the dress has a champagne parent color. Thanks guys!!!
This is for a fall / late summer wedding I am attending as a guest. I would like accessory & shoe suggestions.
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if this dress could be a suitable wedding guest dress. I know it has white polka dots, so I am not sure. If anyone can tell me if this is a safe bet haha that would be helpful…
im going to a wedding during memorial day weekend. its going to be a fancy barn wedding but they didnt give a specific theme. given that, i feel like the last two dresses probably suit the vibe more but im in love with the silk! since these dresses are so damn expensive i want to be able to wear it to multiple events and the first dress aligns most with my style. thoughts? thanks for reading!
