I doubt you'd have too much problems if you're using the computer that lightly (occasional web browsing), it shouldn't strain the computer hard at all, and it should work perfectly fine for a long time. You should definitely consider just checking eBay for used computers, there is an absolute GOLD MINE of old Dell Optiplex's and generally a lot of other brands of old computers that should work perfectly or better. I'd suggest comparing what kind of buying power $250-350 (or even less) gives you from eBay before heading to Walmart, you'll probably have a much better outcome with it. EDIT: eBay computers probably won't come with any long term warranty while Walmart might. Could be a factor to consider. More on reddit.com

Honestly, eBay felt safer because you can check seller ratings and there’s usually a better return policy.
