I've never worked at Regal, so I can't speak on them, but working in the movie theater industry in general is going to be extremely overwhelming for you based on what I gathered from your post. You'll most likely work 7 to 8 hours shifts at the theater. If you are doing concessions, you'll be standing for 7 to 8 hours a day working with long lines. Ushers stand and walk for the whole shift as well, and have to climb up and down stairs whenever they clean auditoriums and/or have to go in to do theater checks/deal with disruptive guests. You usually only get a 30 minute lunch break in the middle of your shift, but sometimes, business doesn't allow for a break at all. The customer load can be overbearing as well. On a busy holiday weekend/big movie release, you might deal with anywhere from 200 to 500 customers PER HOUR. Look, at the end of the day, a job at any movie theater is a cool gig, but it isn't a cake walk either. I hope my post didn't come off as rude or saying "You won't be able to do/handle it". No, I'm just giving you a realistic picture of what you are going to experience physically. Mentally, don't get me started with customer service lol. I would just evaluate what you think you can handle and go from there. Next time you watch a movie, if it is not busy, talk to some of the employees/managers and ask them about how it is working there because every theater (even if it is in the same chain) operates different and has different experiences.
